Everybody's in ballerina flats! What the Hell?!?!

"Three Times a Spanglie" <spangle_...@hotmail.com>
Looks cute and I haven't seen them *this* popular in Seattle (it rains too
much for your feet to be *that* exposed here) but everybody and their momma
was wearing some type/color of ballerina flats tonight on my way home, it
seemed.
I couldn't get over it. I stopped to do some errands on the way home and saw
*so* many women in pink ones, black ones, robin's egg blue ones, lavender
ones, etc. Some of them had little ties on them, others had a big leather
flower on the side, and still others had eyelet holes cut out of them all
across the top. Is it just where I live or are they all the rage everywhere
in the U.S. lately?
I haven't worn any in years. Had a pair of Joan and David black ones (with a
little mother of pearl button sewn on the side of each shoe...very cute)
that I loved about ten years ago and wore them so often that I had to pay to
have them professionally repaired on the soles. They no longer fit me,
however.
Just curious...

You can wear them rain or shine

I bought Delman ballet flats a year ago but am still trying to get them
to mold to my feet so I don't slip out of them when I walk. My daughters
have been wearing ballet flats this summer but I still favor sandals.

Maybe where you live, but it's hard here because they leave so much of the
top of your foot exposed to the rain and when your feet, head or hands get
cold, pretty soon your whole body is freezing. They're very cute, though. I
like ballet flats. I got my last pair (leather soles–––Joan and David)
worked on at a really good cobbler and he put rubber non–skid stuff on the
bottom so that it was easier in different weather conditions to wear them.
My feet were still pretty cold, though.

Everyone needs a job. We have to help those in the service industry
keep their jobs. We have to help retailers especially our local
retailers stay in business. Ballet flats if made properly give good
support for the feet and are a lot better than some of the platform
styles of recent years.

Oooh, I like you. I forgo some other niceties in order to be able to
hire a housecleaner who comes once a week, and a guy to mow my lawn
every 2 weeks. I justify it to myself by declaring that I'm helping
the economy.
Well, everybody's got to do their part and if this ng can do it
collectively, then it shows the power of the internet.
I ran these two links by my lovely bride and maybe we'll put in an order
for the first pair. Problem is though, right now the mosquitos are
coming out and it looks like a bad season for them. Lots of moisture
and now the heats arriving. The perfect conditions...
