Don't throw out your colors, black is always a terrific background for

Of course for those of us battling those pesky unwanted pounds, black
will always be welcome for its slimming effect! :)

Humbug! I said "Black is the new black" here on a.f. eons ago!
However, for the record, I gave up wearing all–black all the time about
a year ago, after having gone through my all–black phase for the
preceding three years. Truly, I wore only black during that time.
Once in a while a touch of red, but mostly all black.
I'm over it. I doubt I'll ever go back. Been there, done that. Truly.

Well, if you say Miss Vicki in DC beat us both, I must believe
you––she's definitely on top of these things!
As for wearing black, including black leather, I'll continue to wear it
but not all–black all the time. And finally, no more red lipstick for
me. A very good friend who has an incredibly artistic and fashionable
eye convinced me that red lips were no longer working for me.
Actually, that piece of advice was quite liberating since now I wear
all kinds of other colors, including variations on pink, light
neutrals, darker neutrals and colors with a touch of Bordeaux in them.
Plus glitter once in a while!

Oh, yeah – we have lint rollers everywhere! Upstairs, downstairs, in
the car, in the travel bag... Both the husband and I wear a lot of
black and dark colors, and dog fur gets everywhere (the car is the
*worst* cause we have those fabric seats that are a little fuzzy). Lint
rollers are a necessity. (as an aside, has anyone tried the pet–hair
specific lint roller they are making now? is it any different/better? I
notice it's usually a little more $$ so if it's the same thing with a
different label, I'll pass)
ObThread: I am finding black and white together looks kind of new again
to me this summer. I don't really wear white well, cause I tend to have
trouble keeping it clean, but aesthetically I dig the way it looks. I
still love black with the right shade of pink, or black with red. I do
find I'm wearing all–black less often, but I have no inclination to
wean myself off black entirely. It just works for me. I almost never
get dressed without something black on, even if it's just a jacket or
shoes. And I still love head to toe black when I'm in the mood for it!

wean myself off black entirely. It just works for me. I almost never
get dressed without something black on, even if it's just a jacket or
shoes. And I still love head to toe black when I'm in the mood for it!

HAHAHAHAHA!! A black and white Siberian is exactly the source of the
fur in my house! And on my clothes, and in the car, and hey! How'd fur
get in my teacup...? The lint rollers probably don't really get it all
off me – but at least they reduce the fur coverage to a level that
makes it acceptable for me to go out in public!
He's a fur machine, I swear. I've had him just shy of a year (he's 4
and a half) and this is the first time I've been through the Spring
shed with him. And now I understand all those warnings about the
shedding! :)
But I must say, last week I finally got a Roomba and that thing does a
great job on getting all the fur tumbleweeds that collect around the
place! However, it does not help with the fur on my clothes
unfortunately!
ObTopic: Could my canine's coat coloring be influencing my new–ish
appreciation for black and white color combos...? I do notice that his
fur doesn't even show up on my heather gray sweater. Maybe I should
start wearing gray more!

*chuckles* We've had her for 7 years. She's 8 and a rescue
pup. Couldn't imagine life without her. We did send out
notices to all friends and family that we weren't going to be
held responsible for their clothing if they wore anything other
then jeans or khakis ;) however.
The best lint grabbers Ive found were at BJ's so Costco
prob has them too. 6 large 3 purse size for 8.99. Like
fly paper for dog/cat hair. Only not quite as sticky. <g>
I wore black today. Nieces graduation. It's not wrong
to put on ones slacks on the porch right? <g>
