Yup. I agree. At my local BBW everything was in basket style wooden
buckets and people were digging. It was ridiculous. One poor gal had
all of these body washes in her hand to purchase, and the sales
assistant said "You look like you need a basket" and handed her one of
the shopper's wooden baskets with the handle. The woman replied "Oh,
Wow... I saw those stacked over there and thought they were extras for
displaying more merchandise! I didn't know they were for the
customers!"
OUCH!!!! I like their store, but I feel that it's really poor
merchandising on BBW's behalf if the customers can't tell the shopping
baskets from the display ones because they look so much the same.
That's just horrible. I felt bad for that lady walking around with
like 40 ounces of shower gel in her hands and nothing to carry it in.
Maybe they could make the shopping baskets plastic in the future so
that first time customers can tell the difference????
JN
I just checked the web site and there is no easy way to send an e mail.
They do have a toll free number. I think you should call them with your
idea if you have the time.

I hit the sale today and I bought lots of candles including pound cake
and chocolate covered strawberries. They are making my living room
smell delicious although I have not yet burned them. I also bought
a cute chocolate brown Henry Bendel makeup bag containing five little
mini spray bottles of Henry Bendel fragrance –– very cute and has a
luxurious feel to it for only six dollars. I'll save that for my
Secret Pal at school. I'll go back before the sale is over to get
some more little Secret Pal gifts and some gift sets for Christmas
presents. I always stock up on gifts and candles during this sale.

I happened to wander in yesterday....got some goodies: Gardenia Candle
(big round one), Freesia shower gel, some small sizes of Bigelow cold
cream, lip balm and Juniper Breeze creamy gel.
The sale is on until early July...and don't forget, they change things
1x! (I was told on Mondays). So keep checking! (and btw, toward the
end, they seem to mark down the ready made kits much further...so keep
your receipt and ask for the difference. I did that last year and they
were willing to adjust it)

was Cucumber/Melon from BBW! I think I have to get me some of that!

I did some serious damage there this afternoon. I bought the girls the
Shea It Isn't So foot cream, violet travel candle for me and a larger
one for DH's aunt, anti–bacterial lemon kitchen soap also for the aunt,
asorted lotions for her daughters and daughter–in–law, and a few other
odds and ends. Everything is priced differently so there are some good
buys and some great buys. You have to check the original prices against

Great purchase on the Shea It Isn't So foot cream––this is the first and
only foot lotion that truly keeps my feet super smooth and moisturized, and
doesn't feel sticky or greasy on my feet. I think it has AHAs in it, and
that really helps with sloughing off the old, dried skin.

The True Blue Spa Handy Work liquid hand soap (with shea butter) is a
wonderful product, especially if you get on sale. It is very concentrated so
you hardly have to use any, and when you get low you can just add water to
it and the result is perfect consistency. I got my sis hooked on it after I
bought it on a 2fer special at the holidays. It is my standard bathroom
hand soap now.

hand soap now.

**Quick question–––they had a Cherry scent on sale in the shower gel
and I got all excited thinking it would smell "zingy" and good like
the original Jergen's scent and that it would be fruity and pretty for
Summer. It barely had *ANY* scent at all and I smelled two different
bottles of it! Was it just a bad batch and should I try looking at the
other BBW location or is this simply a more mild scent in their bath
lines? Thanks to anyone who's used it and knows!**
JN
B&BW cherry scent is a huge disappointment. I bought the foaming bath
gel a few months ago and the scent disappears quickly.
Audrey
I finally smelled BBW new Cherry Blossom scent & was also very disappointed.
I had been really looking forward to this scent. I was expecting it to be
fruity smelling but it was slightly floral & nothing cherry about it. The
scent disappears very quickly too.

Wow, thanks for the heads up, Audrey! A colleague had just applied
some hand cream and all of us were ooh–ing and ahh–ing about it––and it
was Cucumber/Melon from BBW! I think I have to get me some of that!
They had the Cucumber/Melon scent in the bath bars at the Bath and Body
Works sale tonight in our local mall for only a dollar a piece. There were
two other bath bar fragrances that were a dollar also. I think Moonlight
Path and a Vanilla one, which unfortunately wasn't nearly as fragrant as the
Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel.

Lots of good prices, I must say... I want to go back to buy some birthday
gifts for some of my friends who are August and September birthday babies
and some Plumeria body wash for myself. (They even had some masculine scents
on sale. The Aromatherapy Citrus Sandalwood one smelled really handsome,
sexy and heavenly...) The Winter Candy Apple smelled extra nice, too, but it
was certainly going fast. Hopefully there's a little of it left when I go
back or else there's some at the other location next door to our local
Costco!!!!
I wound up buying some Sesame Foaming Bath at the Body Shop tonight instead
because I'm on their points plan and I'm close to earning my $15 gift, plus
I get another gift on my birthday, which isn't too far away, with their
points plan. I have the Shea and wanted to try one of the other scents. I'm
not crazy about the coconut and usually I like coconut scents, but *WOW!!!*
the "Nut" scent smelled really good...kind of like almonds and cashews...
I'll probably get it next time–––they have a *SALE* coming up on June 23
where some items will be 75% off and there will be some $1.00 items, too,
probably soaps and mesh poufs; possibly lip balms, most likely. The
formulation of the Sesame looked a bit more creamy & moisturizing, so I
decided to be practical and get it so that my legs/feet will be in good
shape (i.e. not dry or ashy) for the beach.
Also picked up a yellow mesh bath sponge. Their bath sponges seem to last a
heck of a lot longer and foam up a lot more in my opinion than the cheaper
ones from the drug store. FYI for the married folks and people with teens or
roommates–––Their mesh bath "poufy" sponges are on sale right now if you buy
TWO and they have them in gender friendly colors–––brights & pastels for
gals and slate grey for guys. (They make cute stocking stuffers too. And no,
I don't work there...LOL.)
I went to the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale tonight, too, but it was soooooooo
dang crowded that I left shortly after arriving. The shoe section was like a
mosh pit at a Pearl Jam concert. I got out of there fast. The women all
looked like they were going to kill each other just to save thirty bucks on
a pair of Clarks or Danskos. I'll definitely go back, but hopefully to the
Downtown Flagship location where the shoe dept. is larger than at the mall.

I'm glad I didn't buy this. I sniffed it a few months ago and decided
it was too similar to the Peony Time Out shower gel I have already to
get it. I went back more recently and got the violet scented shower
gel which hopefully won't fade so quickly and will make a nice layer
for my YR Foiles de Saisons Violette fragrance (ltd release from 2–3
years ago in case enquiring minds want to know).

They had the Cucumber/Melon scent in the bath bars at the Bath and
Body Works sale tonight in our local mall for only a dollar a piece.
There were two other bath bar fragrances that were a dollar also. I
think Moonlight Path and a Vanilla one, which unfortunately wasn't
nearly as fragrant as the Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel.
Lots of good prices, I must say... I want to go back to buy some
birthday gifts for some of my friends who are August and September
birthday babies and some Plumeria body wash for myself. (They even had
some masculine scents on sale. The Aromatherapy Citrus Sandalwood one
smelled really handsome, sexy and heavenly...) The Winter Candy Apple
smelled extra nice, too, but it was certainly going fast. Hopefully
there's a little of it left when I go back or else there's some at the
other location next door to our local Costco!!!!
I wound up buying some Sesame Foaming Bath at the Body Shop tonight
instead because I'm on their points plan and I'm close to earning my
$15 gift, plus I get another gift on my birthday, which isn't too far
away, with their points plan. I have the Shea and wanted to try one of
the other scents. I'm not crazy about the coconut and usually I like
coconut scents, but *WOW!!!* the "Nut" scent smelled really
good...kind of like almonds and cashews... I'll probably get it next
time–––they have a *SALE* coming up on June 23 where some items will
be 75% off and there will be some $1.00 items, too, probably soaps and
mesh poufs; possibly lip balms, most likely. The formulation of the
Sesame looked a bit more creamy & moisturizing, so I decided to be
practical and get it so that my legs/feet will be in good shape (i.e.
not dry or ashy) for the beach.
Also picked up a yellow mesh bath sponge. Their bath sponges seem to
last a heck of a lot longer and foam up a lot more in my opinion than
the cheaper ones from the drug store. FYI for the married folks and
people with teens or roommates–––Their mesh bath "poufy" sponges are
on sale right now if you buy TWO and they have them in gender friendly
colors–––brights & pastels for gals and slate grey for guys. (They
make cute stocking stuffers too. And no, I don't work there...LOL.)
I went to the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale tonight, too, but it was
soooooooo dang crowded that I left shortly after arriving. The shoe
section was like a mosh pit at a Pearl Jam concert. I got out of there
fast. The women all looked like they were going to kill each other
just to save thirty bucks on a pair of Clarks or Danskos. I'll
definitely go back, but hopefully to the Downtown Flagship location
where the shoe dept. is larger than at the mall.

I finally smelled BBW new Cherry Blossom scent & was also very
disappointed.
I had been really looking forward to this scent. I was expecting it to be
fruity smelling but it was slightly floral & nothing cherry about it. The
scent disappears very quickly too.

Picked up a few lovely things there last night. I grabbed a big tube
of the Shea It Isn't So foot cream, but then one of the employees said
I could get the same amount for half price if I got 2 small tubed
instead of 1 big one. OK fine, she handed me 2 small ones and put the
big one back for me. Upon returning home, I noticed she accidentally
gave me 1 of what I wanted, and 1 I Love Shea foot cream. Oh well,
I'll keep it around for a gift.
What I got:
(True Blue Spa) foot smoother thing
(True Blue Spa) Shea It Isn't So foot cream
(True Blue Spa) I Love Shea foot cream
(True Blue Spa) Handy Work hand soap – for my bathroom
Bigelow My Favorite Lip Balm.. wow I LOVE the texture and scent!!

I think the number of products with similar names is very confusing. I
took my time in the store and was constantly approached by SAs asking if
I needed help. What I really needed was all of the items in the store
in one straight line with prices clearly marked as well as sale prices
to determine the great buys from the good buys. I'm a dreamer.
I plan to return to see if there are better markdowns in the next week
or two. My husband's family in ND includes 12 women who work long hours
on the farm and they really appreciate good creams and lotions.

I just checked the web site and there is no easy way to send an e mail.
They do have a toll free number. I think you should call them with your
idea if you have the time.
Yeah, I might do that. It really made me think "Wow...how much $$$ are they
missing out on if numerous first time customers think those baskets are not
for their *own* personal use???". They could also use those stainless steel
baskets, too. I think they want for everything to match and have that
"Country Picnic" so that it matches the decorum of the whole store, however.
They probably think that shopping baskets that aren't wooden would look loud
and improper.

Yup. I agree. At my local BBW everything was in basket style wooden buckets
and people were digging. It was ridiculous. One poor gal had all of these
body washes in her hand to purchase, and the sales assistant said "You look
like you need a basket" and handed her one of the shopper's wooden baskets
with the handle. The woman replied "Oh, Wow... I saw those stacked over
there and thought they were extras for displaying more merchandise! I didn't
know they were for the customers!"
OUCH!!!! I like their store, but I feel that it's really poor merchandising
on BBW's behalf if the customers can't tell the shopping baskets from the
display ones because they look so much the same. That's just horrible. I
felt bad for that lady walking around with like 40 ounces of shower gel in
her hands and nothing to carry it in. Maybe they could make the shopping
baskets plastic in the future so that first time customers can tell the
difference????
