Wow, thanks for the heads up, Audrey! A colleague had just applied
some hand cream and all of us were oohing and ahhing about itand it
was Cucumber/Melon from BBW! I think I have to get me some of that!
They had the Cucumber/Melon scent in the bath bars at the Bath and Body
Works sale tonight in our local mall for only a dollar a piece. There were
two other bath bar fragrances that were a dollar also. I think Moonlight
Path and a Vanilla one, which unfortunately wasn't nearly as fragrant as the
Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel.
**Quick questionthey had a Cherry scent on sale in the shower gel and I
got all excited thinking it would smell "zingy" and good like the original
Jergen's scent and that it would be fruity and pretty for Summer. It barely
had *ANY* scent at all and I smelled two different bottles of it! Was it
just a bad batch and should I try looking at the other BBW location or is
this simply a more mild scent in their bath lines? Thanks to anyone who's
used it and knows!**
Lots of good prices, I must say... I want to go back to buy some birthday
gifts for some of my friends who are August and September birthday babies
and some Plumeria body wash for myself. (They even had some masculine scents
on sale. The Aromatherapy Citrus Sandalwood one smelled really handsome,
sexy and heavenly...) The Winter Candy Apple smelled extra nice, too, but it
was certainly going fast. Hopefully there's a little of it left when I go
back or else there's some at the other location next door to our local
Costco!!!!
I wound up buying some Sesame Foaming Bath at the Body Shop tonight instead
because I'm on their points plan and I'm close to earning my $15 gift, plus
I get another gift on my birthday, which isn't too far away, with their
points plan. I have the Shea and wanted to try one of the other scents. I'm
not crazy about the coconut and usually I like coconut scents, but *WOW!!!*
the "Nut" scent smelled really good...kind of like almonds and cashews...
I'll probably get it next timethey have a *SALE* coming up on June 23
where some items will be 75% off and there will be some $1.00 items, too,
probably soaps and mesh poufs; possibly lip balms, most likely. The
formulation of the Sesame looked a bit more creamy & moisturizing, so I
decided to be practical and get it so that my legs/feet will be in good
shape (i.e. not dry or ashy) for the beach.
Also picked up a yellow mesh bath sponge. Their bath sponges seem to last a
heck of a lot longer and foam up a lot more in my opinion than the cheaper
ones from the drug store. FYI for the married folks and people with teens or
roommatesTheir mesh bath "poufy" sponges are on sale right now if you buy
TWO and they have them in gender friendly colorsbrights & pastels for
gals and slate grey for guys. (They make cute stocking stuffers too. And no,
I don't work there...LOL.)
I went to the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale tonight, too, but it was soooooooo
dang crowded that I left shortly after arriving. The shoe section was like a
mosh pit at a Pearl Jam concert. I got out of there fast. The women all
looked like they were going to kill each other just to save thirty bucks on
a pair of Clarks or Danskos. I'll definitely go back, but hopefully to the
Downtown Flagship location where the shoe dept. is larger than at the mall.
