For the past couple of weeks, I had been trying to purchase replacement
brushes for my beloved Spinbrush Pro Whitening toothbrushes (I have one in
the shower, one at the bathroom sink and one in my train case!) and not only
had they disappeared from the shelves but all of the Spinbrush Pros were
gone, too
I found out that they have discontined the product because of some problem
with a reaction with baking soda and peroxide toothpastes.

Unfortunately, the Crest website still features these brushes along with a
"Consumer's Digest 'Best Buy'" endorsement! You really have to search the
website carefully to find out about the recall. My Kroger manager checked
into it and said that they actually have no plans to bring this product
back.
Any suggestions on a comparably priced product that equals the Pro Whitening
in quality?

this doesnt answer your question but about 3 weeks ago my spinbrush
head broke in my mouth!! (cant remember if it was a pro or not) anyway
I called PG and she did ask what toothpaste I use (Mentadent). They
sent me a coupon for a free brush and a postage paid envelope to return
the broken brush. At the time of my phone call it sounded to me as
though this was not an new occurance.
