Any alternatives to EMLA?

Hi all,
I've been using emla before waxing and it works great...but is there
anything as effective that's cheaper? $45 a tube is pretty steep!
Anybody have suggestions?

There's a new product, ELA–Max (Ferndale Laboratories). They decided anything as effective that's cheaper? $45 a tube is pretty steep!
(for some reason) recently to change the name to LMX.
I found some medical studies that indicated it worked as well as EMLA.
It is (a) OTC, and (b) about $15 for a small tube.
