What are *you* wearing today?

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
87 degrees This morning I've picked garden vegetables and plan to get
my RS tickets and do grocery shopping before I work at the thrift store.
The rest of the day I'll be at home working in the yard and doing the
usual household chores
RL white tee with red stripes and blue piping on the boatneck collar and
sleeves
red rectangular stone earrings, gold watch and thin gold bracelet
beige slacks
navy espadrilles
tan Furla handbag
Audrey

Weight Watcher meeting in one hour and then a grocery store stop.
Tonight we will be at the Suns vs. the Spurs BBall game. Keeping
fingers crossed and rehearsing my yelling for the Suns!!
Light olive green suede thonged sandals, RSVP brand, from Zappos. On
the top of the thonged part there are patches of multicolored sequins.
Black Tommy Bahama–like silk capris
Sleeveless pale olive ribbed knit cotton shell from Chicos
Linen blouse, short sleeve, with a palm–like pattern in shades of
green, orange, black and pale gold from Chicos
Gold hoop earrings, gold watch, diamond wedding band
Black Alfani microfiber with leather handles handbag from Macy's
Carol
GO SUNS!
"Laurie B." <merlesk...@yahoo.com>
We're enjoying some resort–like weather here, which is nice before the
heat and humidity really start kicking in. For the office and a
work–related event afterward:
––sleeveless black cotton v–neck sweater
––black jacket with long, deeply vented sleeves and and a single hook
closure at the bust, very graceful
––long black straight skirt with a grey/cream scrolled floral pattern
and a walking vent in back
––black Think! strappy sandals (sexy strappiness on top of a sole that
trick bare feet into feeling like they're walking on leather car
seats...a wonderful replacement for the black Naots that finally bit
the dust after six years)
––two thin silver cuffs and the Skagen watch with fuschia strap on the
L because there needs to be some color here
––silver Balinese necklace that looks like many tiny paisleys lined up
single file
––handmade silver and black bead earrings that look like little
barbells on wires
MAC Flashtronic lipstick because when I need color I reach for fuchsia!
:–)
All of the clothes are from various maternity lines; I want to
belatedly thank everyone who posted congrats to me when I announced my
pregnancy back in April. I've had some uncomfortable moments and been
largely uninterested in shopping (!) until last week, but appreciate
the good thoughts immensely and am doing fine at 5 1/2
mos............Laurie B.

When are you due? You've put together a very stylish outfit.

Sunny, hot (in the low 90s) but less humid than last night when 3
series of big storms rolled through between 8 pm and 1 am. The last
storm was the worst lightning storm I have ever seen (being at such a
high vantage point, I see a lot of storms that aren't directly
overhead). I would have said it was the worst storm I have ever seen,
but there was one about 2 years ago where the thunder literally rattled
the windows and you could hear the lightning zipping down the street.
The lightning from the first storm last night was blinding (when the
sun was still up) and it was much worse during the last one. Huge
flashes that lit up the sky with incredibly bright streak lightning
inside them. Very scary. And non–stop booming, rumbling thunder for an
hour. I'm afraid of storms after seeing someone hit by lightning in
front of me at a concert at RFK years ago, so I paced for a good while.
;–)
For the office and then the trip over the Blue Ridge (the plan was to
stay out there and try to beat the heat, but last night the train
system had a meltdown so I just headed to my place instead):
ankle length sleeveless lilac linen dress, with floral embroidery
angled from hem to knee
white open–work crochet cardigan
linen open–toed slingbacks
diamond heart necklace (round cut diamonds, raised yellow gold setting)
bezel cut diamond earrings (white gold setting)
usual diamond and sapphire rings
silver filigree link watch set with blue crystals, tiny square MOP face
