Do you wear/own sculptural clothing?

While drooling at zappos.com, I stumbled across these sculptural shoes.

I have to say that I would buy a pair if they were cheaper.
I find sculptural clothing interesting as long as they fit their function.
Several years ago one of the major houses (Dior, YSL?) came out with
titanium cantilever heels (there was no normal spiked heel, but the heel
portion of the footbed suspended out over space –– kind of like the shoes in
the zappos link without the vertical back portion). Besides quickly selling
out, I was too poor to afford them at the time (IIRC, retail was $400–500,
but I would now buy them in a heartbeat if I could get my mitts on a good
condition pair.
Sculptural dressing is much more accepted in Japan, where there's a greater
societal preference for design, and I sometimes wish that we had that here.
I love the freedom and comfort of wearing jeans and tees at work and while
shopping, but people/fashion watching in Japan is just so much more
interesting. ;)
However, for me, the item must still be practical. An avant garde jacket
with a third sleeve sprouting out of the back (saw it in a NYT article about
how this one avant garde clothing collector loved it so much that she bought
it in 2–3 different colors and wore them around NYC) doesn't cut it.
I can't say that I particularly own any sculptural clothing, but I do own a
red snakeskin strip of leather that zips up into a pyramid purse. The
topology of it still confuses me. ;)

I really like those, and would wear them if they were comfortable (and
cheaper).

I agree with you – I love unusual clothing, but it must be comfortable
and within my price range. It's not exactly sculptural, but I bought a
pretty vintage white wool coat with a big handpainted cat on the back
(painted by the seller) off ebay, and love it.

I had to go look at more shoes by this manufacturer, and found these:

I love them! I actually think they're kind of ugly, but love the
concept and think they're very fun. When they go on sale for about $50,
I'll buy 'em :–).
Also really like these, probably because I have a weakness for the Fendi
pattern, plus I just like the whole design:

What fun! I gotta find something in a sculptural shoe that I can afford!
