I keep wanting to buy that shimmerbrick! I just don't think I really
need it, and don't think I would get a lot of use out of it. But it's
so pretty! What are you going to use it for? As blush? on eyes? I still
have highlighting powders and shimmers I'll never use – admittedly,
tho, none are that rose color. But I have similar blush colors, I
think.... can I justify it? Maybe if you wind up loving yours I will
lemming. Is this your first shimmerbrick, or have you tried the other
colors?

Are you from NJ?
Remember I got the Body Shop knock off? The bronzy one? This one
is pretty pinkish, I will probably use it as blush, maybe on lips––under
gloss, maybe on eyes, I dunno, pink on my eyes makes people think
I am 'sick today', so I shy away from it. I guess for sure I will have
to see you on Friday so we can go investigate, huh?

Oooooh right! LOL, I do remember, *now*, and I also sort of remember
telling you THEN about how I had wanted the shimmerbrick but couldn't
justify it yatta yatta AND I now recall that I even almost bought the
knock off one that day too and had it in my basket and then put it
back. This shimmerbrick lust has been taunting me for quite some time.

I have two of the shimmerbricks, the original one and the rose one.
Because they shimmer I only seem to use them around the holidays for
shadow and blush. I think I used the first one more often just because
it was unique at the time. What's nice is you can blend all of the
colors or use them separately.

I have to say that I owned most of the shimmerbricks at one time or another
and other than using the color separately, (exc the bronze) I didn't use the
colors that much. I dislike the swirl effect since I have meteorites that I
don't use and to me it just muddies my complexion.
It's a pretty thing and if you can get the applicators (enough of them
anyway) to apply each color separately, then you can use it. I would highly
recommend using the rose one for cheeks color, highlighting and also for the
lids.. use a deeper contrasting color as a crease .. or use the rose as an
inner corner or outer corner only.. (if you use it on the lids, try using a
non red based color as the base wash to prevent your eyes from looking all
pink and red––been there/done that)

I have one of the Shimmerbricks – the brownish one, and never use it.
I also have Meteorites, not the powder but the blush balls, and never
use that either. I agree with Stevie that it muddies my complexion,
that's a good term for it. I also don't like having glitter/sparkles
on my face.

I caved and bought a few Bobbi Brown items that were used on a recent
makeover – a vanilla shadow stick, which provides a nice base for
powder eye shadow or works alone, a replacement for my dwindling
#2/Sand concealer, and the corrector, which is used underneath the
concealer for those big, dark circle days, and a MAC lipstick. (fabby)
I received the sample bag last year and haven't used a thing – but I
have a new little friend ( a girl I'm tutoring/mentoring) who can
always use a day brightener, so the gift will go to her after she gets
her report card (and passes all her classes)

It will be a lovely gift. I ordered the gift bag too. My Nordstrom
order was a Chanel glossimer in jaipur, MAC #209 eyeliner brush and rich
ground fluidline, and a Kniepp herbal bath assortment. What I could
have used were the Shiseido cleanser, Clairins UV Plus, or even the Dior
60/80 eye cream. I've been trying more samples lately. This week it's
the Fresh pomegranate hair rinse that probably came with a NM gift bag.
I like it but I won't buy it.
