I got a cowboy hat!

"Miss Livvy" <Xeveryidiwantistak...@yahoo.com>
I wanted to get a hat to keep the sun off me this summer. I thought and and
thought about what style of hat would work with the most stuff in my closet.
The answer turned out to be a cowboy hat. My Dad is visiting from NJ right
now, and we went up to Sequoia Nat'l Park last weekend. We passed through
Bakersfield and visited a couple of Western stores. And there I found my
hat. Some guy told me it looked cute the minute I set foot back in LA :) I
am totally jazzed. I never wore one of these before. I plan to wear around
town with jeans and skirts, but another place I plan to wear it is to swing
dancing. Most people wear the retro look which is not really for me. I
wanted to come up with my own look. So my look will be:
Black yoga/dance pants
Black dance sneakers
Any colored stretchy top that shows a little belly
Black cowboy hat
What do you guys think? I mean "y'all"?

If you like it, fine! Personally, I'm not a hat wearer of ANY sort as
I can't breathe while wearing any type of chapeau :–). And besides,
my hair looks like absolute HELL the time or two I've worn one and
taken it off. (Smashed and 'ring–around–the–head' and for some reason
my head itches to blue blazes when I take it off).
I've never seen dance sneakers, so I can't comment on them. And to be
truthful, I am sooooo tired of seeing everyone's belly. It gets mighty
old mighty quickly looking at everybody's torso, no matter how little
is shown. E–v–e–r–y–w–h–e–r–e you go, every one is more than willing to
expose this area.

Sounds like a fun purchase! :)I've been eyeing the straw versions for
the beach myself.
For swing dancing though...not sure how practical that is. Make sure
it's secure enough to stay on your head, especially if your partner
decides to "swing" you around. ;)

Now that you've got the hat, what you need is the matching cowboy.

Actually, that's the comment I made as I was leaving the store. Some guy
heard it and cracked up :)

Yes, I have the kind with the leather strings and a beady–thing clamp thing
on it like you'd wear if you were riding a horse.
