Products to control thick hair without frizzies?

"sasuke" <pin...@hotmail.com>
This is my first time posting to this group. I am a guy in my 20's who
has short to medium length hair that is very thick and is naturally
wavy to somewhat curly.
I have been searching for a product that I can use to keep my hair
straight without having frizzies and fly aways later. I currently can
get it almost stick straight by using maximum strength rave hairspray
and a blow–dryer (I do blow my hair down the hair shaft). I follow up
with a hair glue which gets it even straighter and does seem to get
some of the stray hairs that fly away. However, there are always
several hairs that frizz out. This probably has something to do with
how dry the hair is getting from the products as well as from it's
natural thick wavy quality. I've tried using less severe products,
but they do not keep my hair in the straight way I want. So I'm
looking for a way to keep my hair straight without having frizzies and
fly aways.
One other problem that I am having is that in order to get my hair
straight, I apply quite a bit of the above hair products to my hair all
the way to the root and then twist a bit at the end. My bangs take on
a very heavy limp look as if they are plastered onto my head. I want a
more soft pieced look similar to the hair of Jesse McCartney but I
can't figure out how to get straight hair without applying heavy
products and heavy amounts of product.
Can anyone give me advice on dealing with my hair problems? Thanks so
much.
