What are *you* wearing today?

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
88 degrees stay at home work day for house and garden. Current
vegetable crop includes zucchini, Swiss chard and butterstick squash
which is a straight version of crookneck. We're planting massive
amounts of flowers in the front and back yard. This year I'm leaving
the big beds for my son and the sons of my landscaper. I am getting too
old for the back breaking work, but I will plant the smaller areas and
work on weeds and cleanup.
Dinner at home this evening: steaks, fresh squash, baked potatoes, salad
and a cabernet
green short sleeve RL polo
beige Charter Club capris with cuffs
Cole Haan sandals, one diagonal thick white band across the front with
two tan ones going in the opposite direction.
gold watch
yellow clogs for outside work

If the SO has pics of any of his stuff on line, please send them to me
via e mail attachment. Congrats to him today on his one man show. I
know it's a huge amount of work to put together something like that.
Wish I could be there.

Hey Audrey
I can get him to put some online. I think we have them on disk. .. some are
majorly abstract digitals where real life things/people are integrated in
such a way as to be highly fantastical
eg,
a sepia toned nun in traditional religious garb standing on clouds inside a
house that has several windows and in each of these windows is a different
view––one is of a lunar landscape (up close and personal) another is of a
natural landscape with water.. and the room that she's "floating" in is very
Victorian almost baroque in details with lots of ornate details at the
ceiling with a hanging lamp.
it's from a turn of the 20th century house (think vintage 1890s or early
1900) that was in downtown Long Beach that was literally cut in half and
moved to a new location. It sat there for 60 years and didn't even have
normal electricity with conduits running outside of the walls. The house was
up for historical designation till someone bought it and didn't keep it true
to the Victorian styling of the house. while the house was for sale, we were
both able to get inside and shoot photos of it. Mine are still waiting to be
dealt with.. his were used immediately for a before photoshop and digital
merging (took 50 hours + to do one photo)
and eventually when PS came out, he was one of the first ever instructors of
the digital photography.
His work hangs in a number of museums across the country and even has toured
internationally. He was artist of the year for a French Art Institute (a
national one I think)
We didn't know that he had won or that he/we were invited to the reception
till 3 weeks before the event. Long story there .. but we weren't able to
get there. sigh.. Paris, France, and not able to go.
bleh.
but his work is stunning.. His normal photographic work is fab too.
;–) It's a 40 print show and it's there all summer till August.

lunch: tortilla soup and a taco salad. It's hot outside (95 at Bush
Intercontental, 92 at Hobby Airport... both new records) so I'm
inside. Listening to NPR at the moment. For the day:

adidas gray heather shorts, black stripes

88 degrees stay at home work day for house and garden. Current vegetable
crop includes zucchini, Swiss chard and butterstick squash which is a
straight version of crookneck. We're planting massive amounts of flowers
in the front and back yard. This year I'm leaving the big beds for my son
and the sons of my landscaper. I am getting too old for the back breaking
work, but I will plant the smaller areas and work on weeds and cleanup.
Dinner at home this evening: steaks, fresh squash, baked potatoes, salad
and a cabernet
green short sleeve RL polo
beige Charter Club capris with cuffs
Cole Haan sandals, one diagonal thick white band across the front with two
tan ones going in the opposite direction.

MONDAY... Got up about 8:30 (later than I wanted to!). Skipped the
routine stuff, to work via Kroger. Most of my day was spent moving
into a new cubicle. Our manager was getting rid of empty desks, I went
from a good location to a great one. The only bad thing was the former
occupant went on a medical leave and didn't return. He had lots of
obsolete stuff that needed to be trashed, I rolled over a blue plastic
recycling dumpster and started tossing. Out for dinner: tortilla soup,
beef nachos, chicken quesadillas. We didn't set a heat record today,
unlike Saturday and Sunday. Listening to the news at the moment. For

TUESDAY... Got up about 7:00. Skipped the routine stuff, to work via
the credit union and Kroger. Ran some long–winded testing (running
end–to–end the stuff where I'd only done the new additions) and
reformatted some of my output (shared code). I'm still tossing stuff
(the cube has been empty for most of two years but the guy who had it
was really OCD about keeping stuff... he was also a supply packrat).
Out for dinner: tortilla soup and beef fajitas. For the day:
