slide suction (I'll explain inside...)

"philosopher" <inmygar...@gmail.com>
Hi––
I have a very nice & comfortable pair of Born slides that I like to
wear to work. Problem is that the bottom of my feet stick to the
footbed of the slide, and when my foot bottom is released as I walk
there is a very unappealing sucking noise (in addition to the totally
typical slap of the slide) as my foot unsticks itself from the slide
footbed. Now, I am probably the only one who can hear it, but it
DRIVES ME NUTS. I have tried powder to keep the footbed dry & suction
free, but it looks kinda dorky to have powder on the soles of my slides
(i.e., I can imagine people thinking, "She must really have a
perspiration problem!") Can anyone else recommend a less–obtrusive
solution to this problem? I thought of silicone spray (like WD–40),
but I'm afraid I'd slip off of my shoes and fall flat on my face, an
even less appealing alternative. Thanking one and all in advance....

going sockless. they're cheap. like $1.50 a pair.

Have you tried applying a bit of anti–perspirant to the soles of your
feet? Maybe the spray kind?
Good luck!

How about an insole like the terrycloth–covered "Pump Pals"? Or those
sock tube thingies?
