What came in the mail today

"ahmward" <nospam.ahmw...@yahoo.com>
I received a settlement check from an insurance company for $557. The
$57 was for my medical visit and the rest was for the pain and suffering
I endured after my car was totaled in an accident before Easter. Well,
I've decided to use all of it on luxury items I probably wouldn't buy. I
used up my CDLM and Dior eye creams a few months ago and have since been
using various samples I had accumulated the past few years. I am going
to get the La Mer travel collection promising to use every last drop of
each item as well as Laura Mercier's clementine body butter and honey
butter scrub. I need to replace my Guerlain terracotta bronzer that
broke a few weeks ago. I will be spending more than the check but it
will be a pleasure to pay cash for everything.

A wonderful surprise gift:
*Hello Kitty Stereo Color TV/DVD Combo
Some online orders:
*Havaianas flip flops in black and bubble gum pink
*Charlotte beach pants in white
*2 Sweetees tops
The clothing goodies are truly the epitome of comfort. I read about how
comfy Havaianas are and picked up a sky blue pair a few months back. Loved
them so much that I wanted to get more colors, but finding them in my size
was a bit tough.
The Charlotte beach pants are INCREDIBLE! I actually bought these sight
(and size) unseen but based on reviews, the ones I ended up ordering fit
perfectly. Beware! These run really small!
The Sweetees tops are perhaps some of the most comfortable tees around.
Similar to C&C, but even softer and with a little more "flair" and design
(not as basic as C&C).
Great mail day!

Yesterday, also: 3 new cotton broomstick skirts from the same seller on
ebay. One's a very pretty dark green (almost teal–ly), one's various
shades of brown and cream abstract print, and one's a lovely blue–
purple–black print. Wasn't that thrilled with the brown one (my fault,
I have got to get a monitor that show colors better, it was a guess on
all three of the skirts), but it was cheap and will do just fine for
casual wear on hot days.

But anyway, I already used this product and is pretty nice. It

––a Bulgari Eau Parfumee au the vert Extreme Gift Set (1.7 oz perfume
spray, 2.5 oz body lotion, 2.5 oz bath and shower gel, 2.5 oz shampoo,
and a green eye mask). I went looking for this on beauty.com after the
coupon was posted yesterday but then I decided to cast my net wider to
see if I could get an even better bargain. I found this
website––www.relaxdepot.com––where the set was on clearance for $30.00.
That was pretty much a no–brainer. What was even more amazing is that
I placed the order yesterday afternoon and I got an DHL label printing
notice about 15 minutes later. I received my order before lunch today.
I had been nervous about this website b/c I could not find any
references to it on a.f, but I went for it anyway. I also received a
bunch of samples: sample size tubes of Joy bath gel and Paco Rabane
after shave cream, a small sample Moisturscreen Hand And Face Cream SPF
15 (it says "for men" but does stuff really have gender?), a full size
bath salt package (can't remember the brand––I left it at work) b/c I
had so much else to carry tonight, and a relaxation CD (water sounds
and piano). Needless to say I am now a huge fan of www.relaxdepot.com
and I think I'll post a separate rave.
––leather sport sandals from Cabelas for water parks, camping, races,
and fly fishing. They're kind of ugly, but they are also very cushy
and comfortable. Anyway, as The Engineer told me, "the fish don't
care." I'll test them out this weekend when we head to King's Dominion
and the IRL race in Richmond.
––two pairs of H–strap sandals: smooth black leather from Rockport and
taupe nubuck from Propet. I needed regular sandals for walking to work
and other places where the sport sandals would not be appropriate. I
again was idly searching the web for sandals and came across the
clearance page for the Tog Shop. Ordered from zappos.com, they would
have cost me over $125 for both pairs. I paid ~$42 for both pairs from
the Tog Shop. I'm pretty pleased with my Cofarb bucks from the Bulgari
set and from these sandals.
still waiting on my Allure box though...

–– Emjoi Optima epilator thing from Amazon.com. They have a
limited–time deal where if you purchase an Emjoi prouduct of $49 (I
assume more than that, too), they shall send a $20 voucher sometime
in the future for some Amazon.com product provided one doesn't send
the product back or anything.
But anyway, I already used this product and is pretty nice. It
doesn't hurt all that bad.

Yesterday, actually. My "new" Sony CD–clock–radio,
http://tinyurl.com/9bvlc . I bought a factory–refurbished one off ebay
– 1/2 retail price, and comes with a one year warranty. I love it!
Great sound quality, and you can go to sleep listening to one radio
station and wake up listening to another, so I went to bed listening to
music and woke up to the news.

Actually I should retitle this "What Almost came in the mail today"...my
Allure Beauty Box.
The UPS man knocked on my door this afternoon but I was feeding DD so I
didn't get up to answer it. Later I saw a note from UPS was on the door
saying they would attempt to redeliver on Monday & a signature would be
required – in person!! Aghh! I wont be home for most of the day on Monday.
