Toning Brassiness at home

jswe...@gmail.com
I made a big hair boo–boo, thinking I could do foils at home to refres
my hightlights––I ended up with spots the first time, the second time I
was able to correct it, my dead ends are all cut off..but anyway, my
hair is still brassy. I used, I lost the box, but I think its a new
Loreal prodcut to tone down brassiness and add gloss. My hair feels
good, but its still not toned down enough. does anyone here know if I'd
be doing more damage to buy another kit, or should I go to Sally's and
buy the regular toner. I want a more permanen t solution than using the
Shimmer Lights shampoo all the time, because I find it drying.

How long ago did you color your hair? I once colored my hair and it
turned brassy, but after a few days, all the reddish tones had faded
out. I'd suggest washing hair with Dawn– it's really cleansing and can
help "strip" hair of any of the brassy tones. If that doesn't work, go
to Sally's and get the regular toner, but keep your hair
well–conditioned to cut back on any more damage. hth!
