Ballet slippers on my boyfriend?

Carmen Benyamin <amazingcar...@yahoo.com>
For our "anniversary" last weekend, my boyfriend booked a package deal at a
nearby resort and we spent the weekend taking tours of the lake, eating
out, getting pampered at the spa, and just generally indulging ourselves.
The package deal included a manicure/pedicure for both of us, and they did
something I've never seen before. Instead of just buffing his nails and
maybe putting on a clear polish, they used Essie ballet slippers (really
sheer pink) on his toenails. We weren't sure what to think of it at first –
he's pretty manly – but his nails really do look cleaner and beter groomed,
without looking tooooo polished and girly.
I've decided I like it, but he's a little worried about getting teased when
he wears sandals, and is thinking about taking it off. What do you think?

What a nice thing for your boyfriend to do.

Does he like it? That's the important question. Here's an applicable
quote from AFer Userb3 on the men/spa/mani–pedi issue:
"And besides, it takes a real man to be girly."
IMHO I don't think most people would notice your boyfriends toenails,
unless he was wearing some bright/strong color like OPI "I'm Not
Really a Waitress"

Makeup, it takes believing in. Like a magic carpet, it's belief that
makes it fly. Otherwise, it's just a rug.
If you believe in it, makeup has a magic all it's own.
Of course, makeup is only dime–store magic. But it works well enough,
when it's used properly.",

movie of the same name.
