What Are You Wearing Today??

<valmont32...@aol.com>
For a chilly MN day, highs in the mid 50's...I need to get my car checked
out coz the cigarette lighter won't charge my cell phone anymore (went and
bought a brand new charger too, yesterday!) nor will it light
cigarettes...lunch will be Burgertime.
*Aqua Jones New York sweater, cowl necked, ribbed and long
*black cords
*white Peds socks
*white canvas tennis shoes
Hair is up in a high ponytail with a white plain elastic, jewelry is red
moc–croc watch with CZ–silver face, large CZ hoop earrings (Walmart!) and
fragrance is Britney Spears "Curious." Lipstick is Max Factor "Sepia."

It is fun! I haven't had my hair this short in 10–12 years!
Before I cut my hair shorter last October, I hadn't had a haircut in
over a year (I googled myself and that seems about right). In October
I went from below shoulder length to chin length. Now I went from chin
length to above my ears. I'd say I had about 8–9" cut off since
October. If you want to add in the regrowth which was cut off in
interim haircuts, it's probably over 12". My hair grows really really
fast, over the standard .5"/month, which is great if you want to grow
out your hair, but also means short haircuts need trims every 3–4
weeks.

That's definitely a major change. I get my hair cut exactly every four
weeks. I'd do it in three but I also get it colored so four weeks works
for both. It is liberating and I look so much better than I did with
heavy thick long hair. Do you have bangs and how are the sides cut?

Rainy and cool (in the low 60s) today. Although I didn't have a
particularly difficult week (in fact as I got an outstanding
performance evaluation this week, it was actually a great week :–) ), I
am looking forward to the weekend because I'm hoping we'll get to see
the new Star Wars movie (but as I start 2 weeks of being on call for
jury duty on Monday, we may need to come back to town on Sunday), and
on Saturday night we'll celebrate a sentimental anniversary with dinner
at a country inn.
black knee length pencil skirt, with small ruffle around hem
red v–neck shirt, 3/4 sleeves
red/pink/yellow satin scarf in a Mod print
black mid–heel Mary Janes
diamond heart necklace (round cut diamonds in a raised setting, yellow
gold setting)
bezel set diamond earrings (white gold setting)
usual diamond and sapphire earrings
silver faced watch (elongated rounded rectangular face––like an old TV
set) with a row of rhinestones on both sides on grosgrain band (hot
pink/sky blue/kelly green/yellow/pale pink)
for outside: black 3/4 length single breasted all weather coat

I read your description of your haircut in the hair routine thread and
it sounds like it is both very polished and very fun.
I'm not sure I can provide a description that makes sense ;–), but here
goes: it's layered all around, shorter at the nape of my neck, with
longer layers on top. The lowest layers on the sides come almost to
the bottom of my ears and there are long (well, not long, but not short
either) sideswept bangs too that are slightly shorter than the rest of
the layers. The back is cut so the longer layers are more or less even
with the side layers.
It looks less complicated than the description!

86 degrees It is such a pretty morning. I can't plant today because my
son insists on digging up the gigantic tree roots of trees we removed
last year. Once they're out we're putting in a flat of white zinnias and
a flat of navy blue salvia to border the back lawn. My alternative is
to shop :) I have a few coupons to redeem such as one of the new
Origins ginger treat body lotion. I really like Origins products, and
the samples are great for travel. I'm also going to Target, the only
store that seems to carry a full line of unscented laundry product. I
can't find unscented Downy at the grocery store. Later this afternoon
I'm getting a huge Chinese chicken salad to bring with wine and
champagne to an early evening baby shower for DH's administrative
assistant. It should be lots of fun.

Hmmm....didn't know there was such a thing. I assume it's the liquid
you add to the rinse water and not a dryer sheet? AAR, I'll have to
look for this. Thanks. DH says his tees will be softer and smoother
if I start using something like this – not that I've been IRONING them,
mindja....

Yes, Target is the only place where I find the unscented liquid. I try
to buy two big bottles at a time.
