What are *you* wearing today?

89 degrees! Wasn't it cold and stormy just last week? This morning I
plan to buy more flowers to plant in the garden or I should say that my
son will plant. He completed a UC Master Gardener's course so I am
taking advantage of his enthusiasm before it diminishes. We're doing
white begonias, pink impatiens and deep purple crystal palace lobelia.
Anyway, back to fashion DH and I are attending an outdoor black tie
event for the American Heart Assn. The theme is "paint the town red"
and dressy red attire for women is encouraged. Too bad I don't own any
red for 89 degree weather. DH will have to suffer in a tux in the heat.
I will wear
Oscar navy short sleeve top with beading at the neckline
Oscar navy brocade skirt with ruffled edge
black (yes) strappy sandals If anyone is looking at my feet that
closely, surely they should have better things to do.
gold jewelry I bought in Portugal, the heart pendant and filagree
earrings, ruby and diamond rose gold pinkie ring
small gold evening bag unless I can find something red either in my
stash or the girls'

dark and light turquoise and pale aqua along with 2 shades of
light/dark lime!

(Harve Benard –– a label you don't see much any more); kitten heeled,
pointy–toed cream maryjane pumps (Bronx Princess, lemminged last year
after much discussion here); natural straw hat with a large crown and
small brim, decorated with painted and embellished flowers.
To hang at the park in the afternoon, long faux–wrap skirt with
abstract design in shades of fuschia and pink(Talbots), fuschia vee
neck tee (Kohls), gold (not metallic) slides.
And now, just to hang, cropped yoga pants with the aforementioned tee.
