Fit of American Apparel v–neck tees?

ami kio <...@cant–take–anymore–spam.com>
I've been looking for an inexpensive version of my beloved Petite Bateau
v–neck tees, and I stumbled across American Apparel. The baby rib short
sleeve v–neck looks promising, but I was wondering if anyone has one. If
so, how do you find the fit? Would an S be too large for someone who wears
a Petite Bateau 16?
You can see it at http://www.americanapparelstore.com/4356.html
I'm also tempted by the fine jersey sleeveless tee dress, to be worn over
jeans. http://www.americanapparelstore.com/2386.html
TIA,
ami

American Apparel supplies a lot of T–shirts for concert merchandise and
that type of stuff. The material is not as thin and soft as Petit
Bateau. The S is quite small –– it fits me (a sub–0).
My most recent favorite body–conscious T–shirt brand is Splendid. They
ain't cheap, but they're worth it.

I wear a Petit Bateau 18 (which is a bit loose, but the 16 is a bit
small) and like the AA Medium. The Small just fits me, and the Medium is
a scootch big, but they said their stuff shrinks a lot.

Hmmm, I have a fine jersey AA S shirt, but it's too big. I've only washed
it in cold water, air dry though. Maybe a fitted S will work.
Thanks for the info!

Stevie, I assume that the url is bella.com. Is this correct? From looking
at the webpg, I can't find a B&M store.

I would still wash it in cold, to avoid color fading, but I think you
can safely dry it, as long as you don't mind it shrinking.
