This so called furniture shopping is costing me a lot of money because I
drive near other stores I want to visit. Today I bought a 2" capiz
shell bracelet. There are eight sections held together by two elastic
bands and each section has two pieces glued to each other. There are
odd brown spots on the shells that I think make it more interesting. I
didn't like the solid ones as much as the one I bought.

shopper. She didn't really have a handle on my taste (partially
because of the one dress I told her I wanted to try – it was chifonny
and frilly – but it was a gorgeous color and a halter – the rest were
too girly girly) so I ended up going out on the floor myself and
finding a few dresses....and I bought:
a brown linen thin strappy dress with blue/green sequin trim in big
circles – and it came with a little turquoise cardigan – PERFECT for a
million occasions because of the cardigan,
and a black and white chiffon short dress with a long point in the back
– a drapy neckline and wide narrow straps, but it still covers a bra –
it's wonderful, slim–fitting and somehow flattering, probably because
of the length
and a green/white flowered dress with a set–in wide waistband, scoop
front and back, and full skirt – it's very flattering, versatile for
day wear, or casual evenings. None of the dresses are on the website,
so I can't share them – but the good news is that they were all <$100
each.

but when it came to dresses, I walked out and hit the dress department,
which was right next door, and found all of the things I bought by
myself. Nonetheless, she got the commission for that, plus my friend's
shoes, but I don't think $400 is her typical sale...too bad. She just
didn't have my taste figured out...the dresses she brought were all too
frilly and fussy.
My friend who made the appointment hates to shop, so this was to help

are wonderful in situations such as the one your friend had or if you
see something in a catalogue you want the shopper to set aside for you.
When there is one of those Nordstrom 1/2 year sales I've called the
shopper to gather things for me that I've seen in the ads. It works well
for me because I explain that I do not live in the city where I'm
shopping so my time is limited. The shopper at the local Macys whom I
work with most frequently is a very nice person but now that they no
longer carry Oscar, I am shopping there less frequently.

* pink ribbed tank with fuschia trim
* pink cotton hoodie
I kissed DH twice when I got home – once for normal, and once for having
a cool job!

At the spa (I had a pedicure), the Daddy Day package for hubby,
(massage and facial), and I made an appointment for him, so he will use
it. He is bad with GCs!
At Marshall's:
two beach towels, blue and green and yellow stripes.
Three pairs of summer PJ's for baby
A striped mesh Polo long sleeved romper for fall for baby
An Izod sunsuit, light blue overalls type thing for baby
For me: Nada!
Yesterday at BR, I bought a short surf–shorts style skirt with Parisian
street scene, and a pair of hip–slung jeans. The jeans are nice, but a
little big in the waist/hip and a little snug in the thigh.

I made a vow that this summer I would go to the beach at least 5 times.
I live 20 minutes away and never go, which is ridiculous. So today I
went to Carmel, which isn't exactly beach but it IS right next to the water.

Yeah, the one I got (in an 8) was the only one left in the store. I was
worried that it wouldn't fit, because I wear a 10, but I forget about
BR's vanity sizing :)
