Oval liners from Sephora

I purchased some lip and eye liners from Sephora in their after
Christmas sale. They are oval!
How do you sharpen these?
I'm ready to throw them away in frustration but thought I'd give it a
last ditch effort here. One broke off right away– what a waste.

They have special sharpeners at Sephora for those pencils. I don't know if
anyone else sells anything like it.

Avon just came out with oval pencils and has sharpeners to fit them. I
don't know if the size is similar enough for it to work on the Sephora
ones though.
