Flourescent Lights & Skincare

"Rhee" <rhianno...@att.net>
Is flourescent lighting damaging to your skin?
I'm asking because I was looking up previous threads regarding the need
to use sunscreen even when cloudy & indoors (big surprise to me!),
because of UVA rays exposure & flourescent lights. I've never heard
that one has to use sunscreen because of flourscent lights! Is this
true??

Well, GE says about UV from indoor lighting: "It was determined that
UV exposure from sitting indoors under fluorescent lights at typical
office light levels for an eight–hour workday is equivalent to just
over a minute of exposure to the sun in Washington, D.C. on a clear
day in July."
