Bobbi Brown Makeup Ads–– the drag queen look

"MaureyL" <Maur...@aol.com>
Does anyone feel that the Bobbi Brown makeup ads have gotten further
and further away from natural? The "rose" color story for spring this
year really turns me off. I think that for several seasons now, the
models have been made up with really exagerrated eyebrows and their
faces look very hard. I have been very unenthusiastic about their line
for awhile and I believe that the ads have a lot to do with it. I know
that one can use makeup in whatever way you choose but it certainly
doesn't seduce me into buying it. Any thoughts here?

I completely agree. It's that 'plastic fantastic' look that I
associate with teased up and lacquered down hair and dresses the color
of after–dinner mints. "Hard" is definitely the word for it,
especially with that eyeliner and brows. It may have worked for women
in the '60s but it doesn't do a thing for me at present.
Of course the models in the ads have been so Photoshopped they're
extra bizarre.
