What did you buy today?

"Smokey" <SmokeyinNewEngl...@yahooey.com>
A very long, hectic week, so I thought I might just want a treat. Just
placed an order with Neiman's for some La Mer products (waves to Audrey!),
with which I will get the beauty event tote and the La Mer gift, and bought
the Gucci floral flats I've been thinking about for a couple of months:

Shopbop.com has a terrific sale going on right now:
*Blue Cult 5–pocket Destroyed jeans
*James Perse black cap sleeve crew tee
*Theory Danna Chunky sweater in Ivoire
Leilani
"A Spanglie Home Companion" <spangle_...@hotmail.com>
Softsoap Orchid & Freesia new exfoliating body wash. It's called something
like their new "Silk Radiance" line. Smelled so pretty and there was only
one left, so I scooped it up before it was gone.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion with pump. Last one on shelf and I'm *ticked*
that it was fragrance free. Oh, well. I love this lotion. It's so rich and
moisturizing.
My neighborhood Walgreens seemed to be having a *lot* of last one on shelf
items this week now that I think about it and their sale isn't even over
until Saturday night. I hope they re–stock on the good stuff I like soon!
That was certainly crummy! I wanted some other stuff they were out of and I
wanted *two* of the body wash.

I'm happy you like the La Mer. Those flats match my handbag. It's too
bad we're a few miles and probably a few shoe sizes apart.

From Sephora, I purchased 2 Philosophy body washes – Mimosa and
Grasshopper. The Mimosa is nice, but I like the Grasshopper better.
It's a great creme de menthe fragrance and I think it'll be refreshing
to wake up to in my morning shower. I'm so glad to get these as I'm
sick of all the body wash fragrances I have. I seem to have settled on
a lot of food scents from Philosophy – Cinnamon buns, Vanilla
something–or–other, Banana Nut Bread, etc. so it's nice to have
something different.

how about two weeks ago? A green trench coat ...and a Mossimo dark
denim mini from Target...of course it has gotten all cold and snowy
here again so I am not wearinmg either of them, but I had a few days in
which I was thinking about spring.
Laurie0512 <laurie0...@earthlink.net>
Actually yesterday...
From Gap:
*Cable knit v–neck aqua blue sweater
*Aqua blue thin long sleeve crew neck tee
From a local boutique
*metallic silver pointy toe kitten heel mules with cut outs on the sides.
From Ross:
*two framed paintings for my new house – one is a small painting of a street
and cafe in Paris. The other is a small painting of white roses.
*small–medium sized mirror with a dark wood frame
Ross has fabulous deals on home decorating stuff...you just have to be
patient to find the right things, of course.

the La Mer gift, and bought
the Gucci floral flats I've been thinking about for a couple of months:
When you treat yourself, you sure don't mess around! I have bought nothing,
nada, for a while. Both my business and personal expenses have increased
lately, and so I've been feeling like it's not OK to spend money on myself.
But I'm feeling neglected, so I think I need to figure out a budget so I can
buy myself nice presents w/o the guilt.
"A Spanglie Home Companion" <spangle_...@hotmail.com>
Tori Amos "The Beekeeper" CD (Newly released. On sale at Best Buy....great
disc, yet straight out of the package without even playing the damned thing
it has a tiny scratch which causes it to skip like a crazy mofo on track
#17. Damn. Guess I'll have to exchange it tomorrow. That bites because I
wasn't planning on heading North for *ANY* reason tomorrow......Stomp!!!! I
don't want to ruin dinner and race back there tonight in traffic....)
Suave Sweet Pea & Violet Body Wash
Target liquid hand soap (Cheaper knock–off of the Dial and Softsoap stuff)
for in my bathrooms and my kitchen
Lunch (we had some delicious seafood) and a lil' bit of The Recipe (which
today was Dry Hard Cider from a local brewery...yuuuummmm) for myself and
two friends.

I went to Walgreen's looking for the Dessert Goodies items, but they
weren't in stock yet. I left with:
– Tone Island Mist bar soap (just for when I'm in the mood for
something other than my beloved Caress Nature's Silk body wash)
– March issue of Harper's Bazaar
––Laura
"Leilani" <v942–t...@dea.spamcon.org>
Some online shopping tonight:
*Canon PowerShot A95 digital camera + accessories
*Rachel Pally gaucho pants in black
*Sweetees Evita Peasant Dress in white
*ski stuff for our Spring Break trip to Tahoe

*NYC Pencil N Pout lipgloss in "Tawny Duet" which I am still trying to
figure out how to use the pencil on the top of it. If anyone has any tips,
LMK!! The gloss itself is really pretty though! They had quite a few
colors and this concept really is neat, but how practical is it??
I had a hard time figuring this out, too. You have to remove the shrink
wrapping and then pull the very top (well, about the top inch or so) of
the handle straight up (you might have to wiggle it a bit) – it will pop
out with the pencil attached. Then just twist up the pencil, line and
fill, and put the gloss on top.
I *love* these things and have all but two of the shades! My favorite is
Teaberry Duet. The gloss is almost a dead ringer for my favorite shade
of Lorac Lip Polish from the Licked Kissed Bitten collection (LKB 2).
The Lilac Duet is really pretty, too! Actually, all of the shades are
really pretty and wearable. The only ones I don't have are Melon Duet
and I think Ruby Duet (don't remember the name, but it was a really
bright–looking red).

At Macy's, an Alfani boucle short jacket in colors of red, black, camel
and cream. It is a bit big in the chest area so shall have a tailor
take it in a bit.
Wanted to shop earrings but husband was ready to go so shall have to do
that on my next shopping trip.

*Nivea Q10 Advanced Wrinkle Reducer Night Creme
*L'Oreal Future.E moisturizer
*Burt's Bees' Coconut Foot Creme
*Miracle Foot Repair Cream
*Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets (for DD)
*Jelly Belly jelly beans (yummm!!!)

Neutrogena Skin Soothing eye tint in honey shimmer

From Tarjay:
*Apple green leather purse with silver hardware (soooo cute!!
*Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation set (came with a matching cover
stick) what a deal at $6.99! I am liking this stuff so far, it's got good
coverage, but it contains a bit of oil and I'm not sure if it will break me
out eventually. I do think it's pretty good tho!
*CG Outlast Foundation (new product!!) I haven't tried it yet, but it comes
with a "base coat" and a "foundation" together and the promo set came with 3
foundation sponges.
*Revlon lippie in "Deep Nude" this is really a nice color!
*SK lip pencil in "Petal" I was hoping this was an automatic pencil, but
it's a wooden one :–( Oooopppps. Oh well the color is still nice and
neutral and I just need to buy a pencil sharpener now.
*WnW liquid eyeliner in Turquoise......wow this stuff is great!!!! It was
even rec–ed in Lucky mag. It makes my eyes really pop. I like the brush
too and it is a beautiful color. I thought it would be kind of scary, but
it's really not. I am going to get some more of the WnW liquid liners
soon...own black already.
*Olay Regenerist Trio with Daily Reg. Serum/Enhancing Lotion/Perfecting
Cream. This really looked like a good deal for less than $20 for 3 products
together. I can't wait to try it.
*Loreal Eye Defense eye cream...says on the package "Reduces puffiness,
lines, and dark circles." We'll see!! It was hard to pick an eye cream out
of all of those, but this one was reasonably priced and the packaging
basically said what I was looking for. The Neutrogena with Copper in it
looked interesting too though.

The weather has been kinda gloomy lately...so yesterday, we spent the
afternoon getting in some exercise as we walked Grapevine Mills....both
Dave and Blondie got their Chucks, Blondies were baby blue and Dave's
his traditional Black ones. I was a good girl....although the temptation
was so great with all the spring fashion out...lots of greens and
carnation pink!!
Love, Laughter, and Friendship,

Well I goofed, it's the Mauvette Duet gloss that looks like the Lorac
LKB2 Lip Polish. But Teaberry is still one of my favorites in the NYC stuff!
My purchases for the day:
– Swisspers Supreme Make–Offs (repurchase)
– Maybelline Roller Color eyeshadows in Twirling Taupe and On Track Lilac
– a cute but slightly too–young–for–me haircut :)

*3 pairs of earrings
Walgreens:
*Dessert Treats body sprays in: Cotton Candy, Lollipop, and Bubblegum
*Jordana automatic lip pencils in Tawny & Latte
*Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask & Mud Mask (can't wait to try the mud one coz
I have been a fan of the mint one!)
*WnW pencil sharpener (seemed to have misplaced mine!)
The lady at Walgreens' cosmetics counter commented that I frequent the place
so she gave me a little baggie with some freebie goodies and a free
magazine, but the highlights of the bag were a nice sized J&J tube of
lotion, 3 OB tampons, and a bunch of coupons! I thought that was nice :–)
Best Buy:
*Bought an amp and some 10's for my car! I will be getting these installed
on Friday. Can't wait to go riding around now!! The next things to get are
"thugcaps" (spinners!!!) and keyless entry...
