Wow Neither my brows nor my lashes have gone gray. Bless them.
Audrey
My *LASHES* have been half greyishvery faint dishwater blonde (close to the
eye) and half pitch black (at the curly part towards the end) for as long as
I can remember. The color stops and starts at the halfway point, in other
words, which I've *never* seen on anyone else's eyes that I know. (Everybody
else's seem to be one color the whole way through, although I'm not really a
person who gets all in to people's personal space and randomly checks their
eyeball too often...LOL)
Therefore, I began wearing a little bit of Estee Lauder mascara as early as
the seventh grade behind my parent's back so my father wouldn't have a total
snit fit. When I put on mascara that's dark brown or black you can't even
tell and my lashes are *very* long to begin with.
Only a choice few who've kissed me when I didn't have on any makeup have
ever even noticed this and they thought it was cool how the "Wow...the tips
are so much darker at the end than on the rest of the lash!!! That's
awesome!"
I don't know if eyelashes can automatically *turn* grey like in your fifties
or anything, though. I guess I've never looked closely enough. BROWS can,
however. I don't ever get grey brow hairs, but my Grandmother was a firey
natural Irish redhead and even though my eyebrows are dark black, I get an
occasional very light strawberry blonde one every now and again and I just
pluck it out and blame it my genes from her. My brows are so damned dark
that if I get like two or three stray red ones in the middle, it looks *very
noticeable*. :)
