Never really was a fan of them – loved the Reebok Freestyle better! :)
But it will be interesting to see if they stay true to the classic design
and use the smooth terrycloth linings or the smooth nylon. Or if they will
cheap out and use the rough mesh crap that so many of the reissued (and new)
sneakers use.
Bring back the smooth nylon (think Reebok classic leather, Ex–O–Fit, etc)
and ditch the rough junk (Skechers Energy, new Reebok Classic Ballistic,
Nike, etc)!!!!

It's been back for a while.

Coolness. I haven't seen this sneaker since the mid80s. (Can Sperry
TopSider penny loafers be far behind?)

Here's what's sad: I have two pairs of these in unopened boxes at the
back of my closet! For whatever reason, Tretorns were always perfectly
comfortable for me, and I wore them from 1978–1990 and adored them.
This is the first "retro" 80s fashion I'm glad to see coming back!

Tretorn seemed to have more of a US representation problem as opposed
to a product problem... people invariably would lay eyes on the ones
on my Web site and ask where to buy them.

And now, for some reason, we'll swear they're as hard as a rock. It's
called "addicted to 'Nike AIR.'"

That's probably very true Charles. My how sport "shoes" have changed. I
remember when they were called "sneakers".
