Gaultier at La Redoute

I won't vouch for the quality, but the cheapo French La Redoute
catalogue offers some interesting items at the moment from the
following designers:

Their US prices are better than their European prices, oddly enough.

Some of the Cacharel pieces caught my eye – how bad can the quality be
if the fabric is Liberty? We shall soon find out, as I ordered a
skirt, sleeveless top and cardigan. (I might go back for more tomorrow
to avoid the over $200 duty charge).
Like the good alt–fash soldier, I will report all when the package
arrives.

Reports indicate the quality of the Cacharel pieces is disastrously
bad, unfortunately. (Check out The Fashion Spot forums for more, do a
search for Redoute + Cacharel)
My experience with La Redoute has also been pretty poor. I bought a
pair of flat pointy Menudier pumps from them a few seasons ago and the
sole got unstuck at the tip in no time. I did also buy some items from
the collection Viktor & Rolf did for them last year, which I still
have. Not fantastic quality, but it's Viktor & Rolf, so the design
redeems them.
Re. Liberty fabric, I would venture to guess they're referring to
'Liberty print', rather than 'Liberty fabric'.
I hope I'm wrong though. I look forward to hearing how you do.
