RE: Project Runway Finale Question– Spoilers

I didn't get a chance to see the finally last night, but I did hear Austin Scarlet did have a runway spot in the Project Runway Fashion show. Was the reason mentioned in the show last night? If not does anyone know the reasoning? I mean besides the fact that he was one of the main reasons everyone watched the show.
