Stupid: Shampoo/Conditioner Question

"Fred Savage" <treka...@yahoo.com>
This question I'm sure has been asked a 1000 times, however why is it better to use a seperate shampoo and a seperate conditioner verses a shampoo with conditioner. I use the latter and my hair always seems to look ok. Not to greasy, a decent bounce, not overly frizzy.

It is not necessary for men to condition their hair every time they wash.
In fact, conditioning once every other week is sufficient. I prefer a
seperate shampoo and conditioner.

My understanding is that a shampoo strips the hair off its oils, and a
conditioner puts some back in. So I've never understood how a
two–in–one product could ever work.

I think it is one of those YMMV situations...most men that I know wash
their hair every other day but condition every day...okay they do tend
to have long hair...LOL...but in any event...sometimes conditioner can
be very heavy and I tend to only condition from the ears down or just on
the ends...I try to not over condition otherwise my hair gets to limpy.

Theoretically, the single–purpose products can be optimized. As you've
found out, the combination is "close enough for Government work."
