MAC Fluidline?

"Emily" <egs...@aol.com>
Has anyone tried these yet? They look beautiful on the website and at
the counters. I have plenty of eyeliners at the moment so haven't felt
the need to buy more, but I keep wondering...

Not yet, but I'm definitely planning to when they get to Sweden! They do look
gorgeous – I especially want Waveline and Rich Ground.

I just got mine yesterday and I love them! The container, as well as
the application is similar to Stila's Smudge Pots or BB Gel Liner BUT
Fluidline creates a softer look since it's smudge–able when you first
put it on.

Totally agree. It's very very user friendly, and the color are
gorgeous. I have waveline and blacktrack as liner. Also frostlite used
as eyeshadow base!!

Thanks for the info...I might just have to cave. :) I keep picking up
Macroviolet when I'm at the counter, even though I mostly wear dark
brown and charcoal liner. The khaki/olive one looks pretty too.

How does the wear compare to that of the BB Gel? Do you use the same
type of brush to apply?
TIA!

I use the same brush for both BB gel and Fluidline...it's MAC #266––an
angled brush which is so much easier for me than push brushes. (In
case this matters, I dab a little of the fluidline on the brush and
then sweep across my lashline.)
I find the BB gel to dry or "set to matte" pretty fast...like if you
make a mistake, you can't just blend it in. The Fluidline doesn't go
one quite as opaque (for lack of a better term) and definitely feels
softer. I wore Waveline today and I had to layer it to get to a deep,
deep navy. You can also run your finger over it to blend it, then
after a bit it sets. For me, I think the BB gel might wear just a bit
longer because it's more dry and matte, but I figure I can fix that
with a base of Benefit FY Eye next time.
