My pink Coach Signature Tote arrive via Priority Mail today. Yea!!
I
posted in a couple of other links that I'll probably throw this back
on EBay
as I ended up bidding quite a lot more than I expected on a brown/tan
one as
well. That one hasn't arrived yet as it's coming from Canada. But I
have a
couple of questions for EBay'ers. I've not bought and sold alot on
EBay and
especially not brand items.
The bag is wrapped beautifully and in what looks like original
packaging,
with dustbag and Coach tissue paper with Coach stickie. I really
want to
check this bag out (knowing it will probably put me over the edge)
but am
afraid to open anything (except the dustbag, which I've already done)
just
in case I do try to sell it. Should I leave all of this packaging
intact so
there's no question about the authenticity? And that's another
question.
Although I'm sure this bag is authentic (near perfect feedback over
many
years pretty much assures it), how do I represent it? I can't even
put a
picture of it up if I don't open the packaging. I'm willing to
contact the
lady I bought it from and ask permission to copy her photos for use
without
directly competing with her for business. She has been very helpful;
I
can't imagine she'd refuse. I won't put the pink one up until all
comes
through on the other bag.
What do you suggest? And don't say "Keep it!" I'm close.
Carefully take it out of the packaging. You need to check it out and
make sure everything is ok with it. When listing it, put in your
description that it was only removed from the packaging to make sure it
was flawless and to take pictures. Packaging, dustbag and Coach tissue
paper does not answer the question of authenticity. Some people sell
authentic Coach dustbags and tissue paper on Ebay. Some sellers who
sell fake merchandise purchase it and wrap the fake bag in the
authentic wrapping to pass it off as authentic. I'm not saying your
seller did that, but leaving it sealed will not prove that it is
authentic to any potential buyers that might bid on it when you list
it. HTH!
