Men and over knee socks

"SGH" <sore...@yahoo.se>
Hello everybody!
Since I can't get hold on any place on the Net where I can find an answer to
my question, I'll try getting an answer from you, dear reader.
I'm a man in my late 20s that wonders if it is accepted that a man can wear
over knee socks – or even better; thigh high socks – as an ordinary everyday
thing? Is a man considered weird or pervert in any way if he does so? If
that is how he is seen, can somebody please explain to me why?
I've been wearing knee socks for ages; tube, dress and athletic socks. I
like them and the feeling they give and they stay up pretty well. I'd like
to try some longer but cannot get hold on any socks that are made of normal
sock fabric (not sheer or glossy, nor wool socks) and stay up. Could
somebody please, give me a hint of where I can buy over knee / thigh high
socks made for male legs?
Since I live in a country that is pretty cold in the winter, I need
protection from the cold as well as good socks. I've been using long johns
forever and I'd like to try out a variation to this with socks.
I'd rather not shave my legs just for this thing in order to get some rubber
material kling to my skin and a garter belt is out of the question. Anyone
out there that has a "secret trick"?
Do you, dear reader, know of any men that wears long socks in his everyday
life and not as a part of a fetish? Have you ever heard of men that wants to
wear over knee / thigh high socks?
Thank you for reading and I'm hoping for an answer.
Yours,
S.

because people are quick to ridicule something that's out of the
norm.
why are you worried about what other people think, anyway?

I think you mean lederhosen. Leiderhosen would be unfortunatelypants.
Which might be true in this case, but probably not what you meant.

you are correct. i wore my stepfather's once when i was a kid.
at PE, we had to run around the field and my coach said that
while she couldn't really see *me*, she *could* see my bright red
socks running around the field. and they came up over my knees.

At least on the professional level, that's how they make their
uniforms.

Ok, there are stuff like Comfilon and medical socks, but these are
not the
thing that I want.
Can somebody help me out, please?
Whats wrong with Overknees?
There are equal to "special made Made man long Socks" (i doubt they
exist).
In a "Lederhosen–Store" you could buy some wool long socks, but you dont
want it?
I have seen Overknees, which are made of microfiber. You might look after
them on the Store or at least on the Web.

No, I don't mean Lederhosen – those are not a part of my culture and I've
seen them only on photos from folklore parties in central Europe. I just
mean long socks, not tights, nor long johns.
About the PE class: Where I come from, football (or soccer as the US members
like to call it) is almost an every time thing during late spring and early
fall (autumn). In our form of football, the socks are long and are worn up
to your knees in order to keep your leg protections in place. Sometimes you
see guys wearing them over the knees too, but that's more or less an
accident because of not thinking what they are doing when adjusting the
socks during the game. That's not considered weird or pervert. Perhaps
because of the popularity of the sport.
What about the US football socks? Are guys considered pervert on the
football field when wearing football socks over the knees under the football
pants?
It's true, that it's hard to know if a man wears long socks under trousers,
since nobody has x–ray eyes :) How about the ladies? What do you think if a
man wears thigh high socks?
My considerations about what other people think origins in a cultural thing.
I come from a country where undressing in front of other people is not
uncommon. At public swimming pools, everybody are naked in front of each
other, and the locker rooms are just a big room of cabins, no walls in
between. So you cannot hide away anything. There are even rules that says
that you cannot wear anything in the sauna. Since I go swimming quite often,
I'm a bit scared of the thought of doing something not–so–common. A family
thing is to go to your own sauna every saturday evening, and seeing your
family members undress to nudity is just a routine.
But the question sill remains: Where to get those long socks? Am I the only
one that wonders about these things, since I've tried to search for e–stores

Well, since most of you are not taking me seriously, I don't think I find an
answer here either.
The subject was and still is (for me) that I'm interested in what other
people think about men wearing over knee socks, and if somebody had some
experiences to share. I know I like long socks – the few I've tried, and I
don't consider myself a pervert because of this. But I can't figure out if
there are other men out there to like long socks without a seeing it as a
fetish thing. I know plenty of sites that offer many kinds of sock fetish
subjects, but I've never found a store from where a man could buy just a
decent pair of long socks to wear as everyday socks.
And about the wool socks: No thanks. Too heavy.
About american football socks: Yes, they are a part of the uniform, but the
guys wearing these are not seen as odd. Why? That'll obviously be an
unsolved question.
This will be my last posting, since I don't feel welcome anymore. Thanks to
everybody that has been a part of this conversation.
So long,
S.
