Pink shoe advice.

Veronica Moonlit <veronicaMoon...@mchsi.com>
Well it turns out that a schedule conflict will prevent me from
attending my Feb 12 meeting. It happened last year too. Oh well.
I mentioned this suit in my original red dress post
http://tinyurl.com/6e7km
It speaks to me and I wants it, it is my pink boucle/tweed precious.
I have been searching Zappos for the perfect shoes to wear with it.I
want to be able to find the shoes before I buy it. (I'm still in a
sort of "Blushun" mood at the moment) So far, I think these come
closest to the "mood" of the suit.
rsvp "palo"
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2688731/c/11205.html
The suit also has a bit of a "Big City Fashionista" feel to it, and
what is the "fashionista shoe" according to the book "The Fashionista
Files"? A pointy toed shoe with a four inch heel, like these Two Lips
"Tawana"'s:
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1282531/c/433.html
They're on sale too.
And here's some Charles Davids called "Lynx" A bit more than I want to
pay though.
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2799847/c/15787.html
Aren't these Claudia Ciuti's "Melody" simply pretty, The make me think
of Charlotte from SATC. Like the Charles David's they're more
expensive than I'm willing to pay..
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3359223/c/17508.html
Guess "Cunning" satin ankle straps
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2094708/c/11456.html
A pink tweed shoe called "Nice" from a brand called "Rebels" Very nice
indeed:
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3513707/c/29726.html
Gabriella Rocha "Berlinda" your typical high heeled pointy toed
slighback in pink:
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3085422/c/9570.html
From XOXO "Jazz" a pink dorsay with an instep strap. They sure aren't
"Himalayan Walking Shoes". :–) :
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/2187061/c/18699.html
Gabriella Rocha "Andie" a "good girl" color with a "bad girl" heel.
"Limo to Lobby" shoes for certain.
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3173322/c/23904.html
I know, I know, one is supposed to buy the shoes first so you can take
them shopping and have them pick out ensembles.
I'm going to show my sister the suit and ask hwer what she thinks of
it. It's pink, which is so not me, but it speaks to me kind of like
that coral suit at JC Penney did last year, but I've actually seen it
in person unlike the JC Penney one and still like it.
Goddess knows where I'd wear it, well perhaps to my groups meeting or
shopping at Nordies, or just because. The jacket would look cute with
a cami, fashionista jeans and heels too. But aren't we supposed to
avoid that look? :–)
Hmmm need a cute bag for it, though I think my IM for Tarzhay black
frame bag would work. ah they've got a bag:
http://lanebryant.charmingshoppes.com/Shopping/product.asp?product_id=L1005988&nav=L1
I'm hopeless. :–)

Veronica,
I'm not sure if you're interested in a less expensive shoe but I was at
PayLess briefly today and saw this shoe http://tinyurl.com/4jlh8. It looks
better in person than on this site with it's sharp toe. It is smooth with
no detailing except the bow but it doesn't look cheap to me. It's only
$14.99 which is great. I didn't note the padding or anything. There are
two potential problems, though. Do you need a wide? And this heel's only 1
1/2" tall. HTH a little.

Veronica,
My pink shoe advice is to avoid 'em with this suit. Get some gorgeous
black shoes––they will look nicer with this, coordinating with the trim
on the suit, and you will get more use out of them.
I say this only because pinks are notoriously hard to match, even when
you have the shoe in hand. When you are trying to get something you've
seen online to go with something else, it can (as my grandmother always
said, but strangely I don't think she meant footwear) only end in
tears.
If, however, you want pink shoes just to HAVE pink shoes––if pink shoes
will hurry spring, if the thought that you own pink shoes and they are
sitting in your closet waiting for you to put them on puts a smile on
your face––then by all means, dear. But pink shoes!
Just not for this suit.
the_queen_of_puddi...@yahoo.com
Those black mary janes should go perfectly with your suit!
I just bought these pink suede visions of cuteness at zappos:
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/3252045/c/22417.html
I'm been wearing them with jeans. Of course they're too casual for your
outfit, and they're not even the right pink, but the pointy toes are
sexy and they are crazy comfortable. If you HAVE TO HAVE pink shoes,
these are real contenders.

OMG, I desire the Steve Maddens! I was looking all over zappos for a
great looking spectator. I guess I didn't check enough pages. (I only
got through 35 of 69) Now these shoes, speak to me.
"Verrrrrooooonicaaaaaa, buy meeeeeee nooooooowwwwwwww."
They are pretty great, quite versitile and so inexpensive...really, Zappos
is pratactly giving them away...not buying them would be a sin! ;–)
Thanks Blushun!

Thanks for pointing the shoe out. It is a pretty little shoe no doubt
of that. Lucky for me me I don't need a wide. As for the heel, that's
fine too, though IMHO the suit is a "high heel suit"
I still haven't decided yet.

When I saw the outfit I thought that black shoes might work but wasn't
for certain what the fashionistas would say. I have some black shoes
that I think would work quite well.
http://makeashorterlink.com/?U27422AC8
I have them in both the black kidskin and the black patent.

Well, it would be nice to have pink shoes. My sister says I should
try finding a black pair with pink trim. Oh well, back to Zappos.:–) I
guess if I want pink shoes, I'll have to buy the suit, wear it with
black shoes and take it shopping for pink shoes and have it decide
which shoes it likes.

I may be too late but here's my 2¢...
While I agree that pink should be avoided, I don't agree with the choice of
black. If you look closely, you'll see that the trim on the suit is
acutally chocolate brown/burgundy. Of course it's always best to have the
actual suit on hand to be sure, but I think a simple rich red/brown shoe
would be stunning
Here are a few suggestions:
As the suit is already fairly adorned with ribbon, appliqués and sequins, go
for a simpler style shoe.
'Exotic' skins are back in style again. These Manolo's
http://tinyurl.com/48ecf would be perfect but these Lumiani's are a tad more
affordable ;–) http://tinyurl.com/6d3bk
This simple brown shoe by Bronx would also work http://tinyurl.com/4fyhg as
would this similar Tommy moc/croc version http://tinyurl.com/5a6ze
A rich red/brown suede would also work well. I like these round toed Via
Spigas but ankle straps aren't always flattering http://tinyurl.com/3nt4q
These BCBG's kitten heels are nice and simple http://tinyurl.com/6f5yq
If you're dead set on a pink shoe though, this Steve Madden Spectator Pump

too frilly http://tinyurl.com/3kmrd and I love these Anne Klein round toed
pumps http://www.jildorshoes.com/product.cfm?PI=20296 (which also come in
choc. brown) http://www.jildorshoes.com/product.cfm?PI=21045

Hmmm in the store it looked more black, but I only did a quick glance
from a few feet away. (was in a rush) But you're right, the trim IS
more brown. As it is, I've decided to hold off on any shoes until I
have the suit.

Oh I agree. my own choices were pretty basic and simple.
