OT: Is See's Candy site still online?

"Linda" <figa...@aol.com>
I'm looking to order some See's candy for Valentine's Day gifts, but
every time I go to the See's site ( http://www.seescandy.com or
http://www.sees.com ), I get an error message indicating the site's
server is down. Does anyone know if See's has taken their site
offline? Thanks!
Linda
"Smokey" <SmokeyinNewEngl...@yahooey.com>
Linda, I just tried sees.com and it worked for me.

trouble several days in a row––I kept getting bounced back out to a
previous page when I would try to submit the payment. I was getting
ready to email them a note about their crappy web–page when it
occurred to me that maybe the problem was with my browser. So I
opened Explorer, and the web page happily took my payment.
Maybe you should still write to them about their crappy web page.

Thanks Smokey and David. Now I know it's me! I can't access it from
this computer, either through AOL or via IE. Guess I'll have to dust
off my daughter's laptop and see if I can access it from there. Thanks
again!

That happened to me at a site the other day and when I cleared my temp files
and unwanted cookies (including the cookie from a prior visit to the site),
it worked.

It works fine with Firefox.
Although I'm not sure I'd get anything from See's, Warren Buffett
undoubtedly keeps the good stuff for himself. <grin/duck>

Smokey, that was one of the the things I tried – clearing temp files
and cookies, set security to low, and rebooted my PC. Still no go. I
found that I can get to the site by using the secure http address (
https://www.sees.com ), but each time I hit a link on the site I have
to go back up to the new URL and add the 's' to http in order to get
the new page to come up. I haven't tried to order, but doubt it would
go through as each time I do this it brings up a new browser window. I
haven't pulled out the laptop yet to see if I can get to it from there.
Seems I'm the only one having this problem, so I assume the laptop
will work. I'm glad to know the site is still up and running and
available!!

I've been using it since it was called Phoenix 0.5
And Thunderbird since it's Minotaur 0.1 days.
Not new to me. :–)

And a lot of people downloaded the pre–1.0 versions.
I've been using it since it was called Phoenix 0.5
I was somewhere around Firefox 0.8 when I made the plunge, but I had
also downloaded Mozilla.

Funny thing is, in some circles, I wouldn't be considered a "true"
