City Lips lip plumper: cheaper version?

tmeme...@aol.comtrain (TMEMEDIA)
I just love the City Lips lip plumper –– the clear one. It really makes my
lips feel so soft. The price, however, I find over the top –– $29 is a bit
much, especially as it doesn't really plump up my lips, but it IS very soothing
and soft–making.
Has anyone found a cheaper version of this? I use Kiehl's lips salve for
really chapped lips, but it doesn't give me the same wonderful feeling that
City Lips does when I put it on. Anyone have any ideas?

I haven't found anything that works like City Lips, but for me it *does*
plump (just a bit, but enough that I can tell). This may not be exactly
what you're looking for, but Sally Hansen has a new product out called
Diamond Lip Treatment that is *amazing* for softening/moisturizing the
lips. The thing is, though, that it's more of a gloss than a traditional
treatment–type product – it comes in different shades, and it has tons
of shimmer (kind of like powder–fine microglitter). But it's so
incredibly smooth and moisturizing with no grittiness at all, not greasy
or sticky and it has incredible lasting power. I really wish they'd come
out with a clear version (I think they do have one, but it's
shimmery/sparkly like the colored ones). The formula is a bit thicker
than that of City Lips, but it leaves my lips just as soft. And it's
under $5.
Not all the stores near me have it yet, but most do. Some of the shades
coordinate with the new Diamond Strength nail polish shades, so I
usually find the displays next to one another.

Hey Teresa
check out the balm lip glosses .. they have similar plumping effect.. just
takes a bit longer. I have been using it and loving it. I have a set of the
minis and a full size of the nude cocoa my coconut. it's perfect!

It is very subjective, but I believe Sorme Lip Thick did a better job at
plumping my lips than City Lips does (at 1/3 the price). However, I didn't
notice a great softening effect with either one. (I like both much more
than Lip Venom, BTW.)

Where can you buy Sorme? I tried calling their customer service and the woman
gave me 3 places to purchase the products. One did not carry the Lip Thick,
another has not been in business for years, and the third location is over 200
miles from me.

I have city lips in brrlin. I only use it occasionally because of the
price. I use burts bees lip balm everyday.
