Earl Jeans at Ross & questions

Alex <flkleinb...@yahoo.com>
I was at my local ROss on Sunday. Typically they don't have much
there, but I went through the clearance section anyway. I found some
bell bottom, low rise, stretch Earl Jeans with the original price tag
saying $140.00! I figured what the hell and tried them on, since they
were marked down to less than $20.
They had to be the ugliest jeans ever on me! Waaahhh! I thought I
finally had a Ross score that would be AF worthy and the damn things
were just wrong! The fit in the waist was fine, but the SIZE of the
bells on the bell bottoms... I just couldn't do it. Add to that the
fact that I am 5'8.5" and they were dragging on the floor. I couldn't
find a style description, are there less "belled" Earl Jeans or is
that it??
DH was enabling all the way and was probably more disappointed than I
was.
I remember someone posting a jeans size chart on AF last year and I
lost the link, I believe it said what brands/sizes are comparable,
because I didn't know what to think when the tag said 31, and I find I
run into this relatively regularly. I find GAP low rise straight leg
or loose fit jeans look nice on me, are there other suggestions for
higher end jeans that work for someone with a round booty and small
waist? :–) Think J.Lo....
Thanks!
Alex

Not all Earls are belled but most are. They do tend to be quite long. I
wear mine with heels. I wear a 28 or a 29 in Earls and I am a 6 or 8 in
most pants. I love how they look but I do not have a round booty or a
small waist....just the opposite, actually. If Earls are at Ross then
other designer jeans can't be far behind; maybe another designer will
fit you better. Or try bluefly.com, they have good prices on Earls
sometimes and free returns.

Can anybody recommend good jeans for someone with really long legs, a tiny
waist, and no booty to speak of? Something low rise without a really wide bell
bottom? The only one I kinda like is the "sexy jean" from Victoria's Secret–
but they are still too baggy in the waist.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

you might want to try joe's jeans the socialite. pricy but the fit is
amazing. Plus they have another one that's perfect for you. I have to go
through my notes to find out what the name is!

Hi Stevie,
thanks for the tip! I checked out the HONEY jeans from Joe's jeans and
I have one more question –– when they have a "waist" size they are
talking about where the rise will hit and I should buy for my hip
size, correct? I'm unused to anything other than going to the size 8
rack and trying things on. LOL!
On the Joe's chart It lloks like I'd be a size 28 for the hip. but my
waist is mucho smaller. My thought is to measure the rise and take
that as the waist measurement, would this be right?
Here's the link –– cute, cute, cute jeans! http://tinyurl.com/45rt4
thanks!

Alex you are going to have to try these on. The size of the jeans is
relevant to a lower waist size but isn't THE size. every style fits
differently. The one you don't want to try is James (as they have no
contouring)
you might want to try Paige Premium Denim as well.
it's a case of you must try it on.. since it's about rise, waist (and most
are lower rise.. )
and hip
