I *miss* Mardi Gras!!! I have a darling dress and hat that I bought ~10
years ago for a Knights of Revelry Mardi Gras tea that is appropriate
for no other event in the universe.....but I just can't let it go. I
did however part sadly with most of my Mardi Gras formals a few years
ago....nowhere to wear them around here.....although now I realize I
should have saved them for the dress–up box....live and learn.... :–(
I'd love to hear about other people's MG gowns......

Susan, please describe your dress and hat! I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!

Congrats on the great buys, Robyn.

All–navy low–calf length, crepe drop–waisted bodice, pleated chiffon
skirt, chiffon short sleeves, very wide boat–neck (almost off–shoulder
but not quite) with a wide swathe of chiffon draped all the way around
the shoulders and tying in a long bow at the back which is dropped to a
point almost mid–back. Hat is a straw cloche hat with blue
flowers/feathers detail at the front. The shoes are long gone. I tried
to wear it to a baby shower once but it didn't quite work.

oh that's so pretty. It sounds fab. I can imagine that you looked fab in
it. I know your coloring and I can see that navy would be wonderful on you
