FWIW, this is what I have been able to glean from the internal AOL
newsgroups:
1. "BoardAdmin" is not a valid screenname/address.
2. It is also not an "official" screenname/address.
3. This notification wasn't sent internally (via the blue letter we
are used to) but apparently only externally.
4. People who work for AOL don't know anything about it.
The Indian–based tech staff work from scripts; if you ask them
anything outside the script, they cannot answer your question. I
wouldn't use them as a judge as to the veracity of this email––esp. if
it was provided to this tech person from an outside source, i.e., an
AOL member, rather than someone "official."
