Sunny and cold (in the 20s) with a good sized snowstorm on tap
tomorrow. I will be up in the mountains, so I get the best of both
worlds––a big snowfall to play in there, and then a smaller one to deal
with when I get back to the city on Monday. For the office and the
trip over the Blue Ridge:
long straight cut black skirt, back slit
ribbed black velvet turtleneck
double length, double sided (2 pieces sewn together) heavy weight satin
scarf, red on one side and irridescent red/pink/gold on the other
black very pointy flats with angled patent insert at toecap
bezel set diamond earrings (white gold setting)
usual diamond and sapphire rings
silver faced watch (elongated rounded rectangular face––like an old TV
set) with a row of rhinestones on both sides on a
lime green with white polka dots grosgrain ribbon band
for outside: black 3/4 length all weather coat, single breasted, faux
fur collar; black leather gloves; black "patent" zip front ankle boots

I'm loving this outfit! It makes me long for spring.
Today I'm meeting my son's girlfriend's mother for coffee. Amazingly, when he
went to college, he met a girl from his hometown, whose mother is also a
realtor in our company – but we've never met.
I'll probably wear:
favorite jeans from Nordstrom with patch pockets in back & deep pockets in
front
turquoise t–shirt (BR)
blue tweed jacket from tarjay (I have to get 24 wearings out of this jacket
before the season ends – $1/wearing is my goal for trendy items!)
triple strand of antique beads in shades of light blue/turquoise
black boots – one pair or another....
happy friday,
cary

I'm taking a break from running around getting the place ready for an
onslaught of second grade girls. It's my daughter's eighth birthday and
we're having a cooking party. Which means the house must be picked up
and festive looking AND the kitchen needs to be immaculate. AND I need
to head out to get goody bag stuff, cupcakes, and paper goods.
It's sunny now, but we're expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow beginning
around 4:00 this afternoon. Anyway, I'm wearing:
red cotton long–sleeved jersey
jeans
red Lulu guinness socks (waves to TOK!)
no makeup, jewelry, or fragrance
Pray for me,
Priscilla

Doesn't this just prove once again what a small world we live in? When I
was in the military and stationed 3,000 miles away from home (which was one
of the dinkiest little towns in North Florida–think one stop light) in
Europe, no less, I ran into a guy that I went to high school with
(graduating class 8 – tells you how small it was) who had joined the
military right after me and was stationed at a base in the next town! Of
all the people I could have met, I met someone from Yulee!!! 20 years
later, I still marvel at that.
Hope your coffee meeting went well.

Cool (65F or so...and dropping!) drizzly day in SoFla. I'm in the
middle of SAHDness, and to schlep around those whom I've offsprung I
attire the outer man in:
* LE navy crewneck sweater (ancient)
* Levi's 501 s–t–f (wildly ancient, faded practically to chambray)
* Sperry white canvas CVOs

"AJ" <ajfash...@att.net>
For an appt, on a chilly day when I'm still nursing a terrible
head coad:
ON TYFM jeans
silver cashmere twinset
black mid–calf boots
black cashmere peacoat
black cashmere gloves
(No bag, I put my wallet in my pocket)

Downstate, we were supposed to get more snow, but so far it doesn't
seem to be doing anything other than a light dusting of snow < 1"
rather than the 2–3" we we're supposed to get.
So maybe you'll get lucky up there in Chicagoland too.

Makeup, it takes believing in. Like a magic carpet, it's belief that
makes it fly. Otherwise, it's just a rug.
If you believe in it, makeup has a magic all it's own.
Of course, makeup is only dime–store magic. But it works well enough,
when it's used properly.",

Actually, it was the second grade girls that really worried me. Snow we
can deal with. (Looks like we might get a total of 20 inches, though.)

Well, guess what, the snow hit us after I posted. :–)
And as for the 2nd graders, they are no threat because after all, you
are the most beautiful woman in puppetland. :–) Probably they'll be
saying things to your DD like: "Your mom's clothes are so pretty."

Off to drive to Palm Beach––again––in the next hour or so for a car
show w. a client (whose factory makes engine innards for race cars).
It's allegedly partly sunny, breezy and currently it's 67F, but
allegedly, things will deteriorate from there.
A–a–a–a–a–a–anyway...to go transact and look at (only!) cars that are
worth more than all the houses in my neighborhood combined:
* BB white buttondown
* Polo khaki chinos (cuffed & inward pleated, SOP)
* Polo oxblood alligator belt, sterling buckle
* Dore–Dore waffle knit navy socks
* Alden cordovan tassel loafers
* Polo SB doeskin navy blazer in reserve
"JoeinSoFla" <jmgarcia...@yahoo.com>
It's a damned crisp 53F/12C (Brr.)
* Polo navy cashmere blazer
* Alan Flusser light blue glen plaid tab collar, double–barrel cuff
shirt
* S5A white cotton pocket square, w. light blue checked edging
* Polo rep stripe tie (teal w. navy and white accent stripes)
* Polo oxblood alligator (or is it crocodile?) belt w. sterling buckle
* Polo (yes, I know) oxford grey flannel trousers, cuffed and pleated
* Brooks Brothers charcoal socks w. teal pindots
* J&M brushoff cordovan tassel loafers
