Problems with MUA?

Erin Doherty <easch...@comcas.tnet>
Is anyone having problems with MUA? My saved password isn't working and
neither is the password retrieval. On a whim, I tried to register with
my initial username and it let me!
Of course, I couldn't log in with the username and a new temp password.
When I tried to retrieve the password with my new registration, that
didn't work either.
Hopefully, this is just a temporary glitch...

Have you been using a program called 'Mac Sweeper 3.0'?

This happened to me tonight as well. I was reading the fashion board, and
when I clicked on the next link to go to the next page, it came up with
this form telling me that I needed to give them my DOB. But when I filled
out the form, it wouldn't update, and kept saying it needed my DOB. I also
could no longer login from any other location/browser. I've sent an email
via the "contact us" form on the main page but if it's happening to other
people, I'm sure they've already got their hands full.

Nope. Don't even know what that is.

That sucks, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I just hope the
accounts didn't get nuked.

This happened to me last week, but when I visited the site again the next
day there was no problem.

Oh, ok. Sweeper is a cleanup program for OS–X and works fine but it
can be set to remove all your saved passwords. I dumped all mine after
the first time I used it. Just a thought, that's all...

This happens every once in a while on MUA. If you get the DOB screen
or it just goes haywire, exit and wait about 8 hours (ie overnight).
All will be fine.
M, otherwise known as MsReptar, not surprisingly

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. What is the actual function of Sweeper?

It does cleanup, organization, backup functions etc. Actually speeds up
your machine but has a few settings which go a bit too far. But really
not a bad thing to use. I'm just getting used to it and well, haven't
lost anything just had a bit of confusion at first...not recommending it
as ymmv but I do use the program and like it.

My password fails, too.
And sorry if it shows like a new thread again ––I'm trying, but my
newssender seems to disagree.

i had the same problem too all of a sudden while using my home
computer, and ended up creating a new account. the next day when i
visited MUA using my office computer i was surprised to see that my old
username was logged in as if nothing were amiss. i'm guessing that they
changed something to their cookies, who knows.
