AFDC 2005

Hello All:
My move has been pushed back to the late summer/early fall so my
original plan for having the DC 2005 gathering around then has changed.
I'm thinking mid to late June (maybe some of y'all will want to combine
it with a 4th of July trip to DC) for the get together.
I know it's early but I'd love to hear from whomever may want to come,
or anyone with ideas and questions. I have a tentative game plan
already but of course since it's so early, it's bound to change ;–).

Hopefully this year I can be involved. We are slated to move stateside and
are 99% sure we will be heading to the NoVa area. ::crossing fingers and
making a wish:: I am anticipating being there late June early July...

Michele, I hope you will be there, you were missed the last time! A
good friend of mine and of EMD's who has come to the last 2 gatherings
is going to be away the end of June/beginning of July and suggested
Memorial weekend. On the plus side, it's a 3 day weekend but on the
minus, I know people get booked up for activities that weekend *way* in
advance. Which will work better for y'all, Memorial weekend or late
June/early July?
The next hurdle is making sure my events can go off as planned for
whichever weekend we have it...

I know you were asking Michele, but I'm chiming in anyway:) I vote for
Memorial Day Weekend only because it's sooner and I don't want to wait until
June/July. It's also not as hot. That said, I will go along with whatever the
majority and you, our gracious organizer, chooses.

Thanks for the input, actually I need everyone's opinion so whomever's
not yet chimed in please do! You're right, it will be nicer around
here in late May and we have the extra day to work with – those are two
big pluses to having it Memorial weekend.
But everyone else, please let me know if you're already booked or
prefer July :–).
