Shu Uemura opening store in SF!!!

"the Wicked Witch" <Wic...@gmail.com>
Apologies if this has already been posted, I haven't been too good
about keeping up with the threads lately.
Shu Uemura is opening a store in San Francisco in Spring 2005! The
address will be 1971 Fillmore St (at Pine). I saw a sign for it when I
was over there a few days ago and confirmed it with a quick trip to
Shu's website.
Also, you can order online directly from Shu. This, I had not known. I
was juuuust starting to look at Shu with some interest when Sephora
pulled them a while back. What are some things I should check out when
the local store opens up? We should do an AF lunch–n–shop when it
opens! It's going to be right with the Fillmore St. cluster of shops –
MAC, Kiehl's, Betsey Johnson, a couple great shoe stores whose names
escape me, etc.... Union St. isn't far so we could hit that area too,
there are a few cute shops and several great places to eat lunch around
there.
Anyway, TIA for any Shu recs!

Name the time and place Wicky! Just make sure there is a magnet
shop nearby and I will be happy :) I already know of a cool eatery.

Hey, I'm game as I'm assuming the trip'll be after I'm due w/DD!
Shu recs –
– love their skincare. Their cleansing oil washes off cleaner than
DHC's though it is more expensive.
– the Nobara cream fnd is nice for dryer skin
– they have tons of great e/s & blush shades too
I think you can take a sneak peek at Shu stuff...@ SF Centre Nordies too.
I think that counter's still there.
BTW, when't the H&M store supposed to open? Spring also, IIRC. Though
that's closer to Union Square IIRC.

Shu Uemura rocks! I absolutely love their Cleansing Oil (holy grail for me)
and their Pro Eye Concealer makes for the perfect eyeshadow base.

I haven't seen any mention of it on the H&M page, where will it be? I would
like to take my son's g/f there.

Anytime!

Don't forget the Shu brushes. I think they are the best and the eye
shadows are amazing as well.

The projected opening dates from what I last read:
H&M – Fall 2005
Bloomies – late 2006
Forever 21 – I haven't heard a peep about this since it was first announced
about a year ago
I am glad to hear about the Shu store. There is some good shopping on
Fillmore St. and I stop there all the time for dining and shopping. In
addition to the (good) chains that were mentioned there is now a bebe Sport
and there are also some great independent local shops including My Boudoir,
Margaret O'Leary knits, Cielo, Blu, Heidi Says, and for sustenance the very
excellent Cafe Kati, plus Chez Nous, Galette, and Florio.
