Fashion @ My College (follow up)

Hey y'all...I had posted awhile back about asking for some fashion tips coz I
was going to be going to college. Well, today was my 2nd day and I've had some
time to absorb what everyone's wearing so far and my observations:
*Uggs!! fake or real, especially pink (I have tan)
*long, wool–type scarves with tassels and such with matching gloves (looking
for a red one for myself, I've already purchased red leather gloves with
Thinsulate)
*baseball caps and bucket hats (I bought one with our college's logo on it in
white with red/black lettering and I have a UNC Tarheels one as well which has
white with baby blue lettering) and for the bucket hat I have a pastel pink
angora one with matching angora scarf (Tarjay!!)
*dark wash bootcut/flare jeans (haven't noticed anything unique about the
jeans, they are run of the mill most likely)...I have 2 nice pairs from Lane
Bryant and another pair from a cheapo store in Lexington I had picked up that I
cut the hems off of and look frayed at the hems
*dressing all in black but not goth looking...more artsy looking, I guess you
could say, as in black dress slacks and a nice black sweater
*PARKA'S!!!! Everyone has big puffy parkas that go down to the hip (not seeing
many cropped versions) or even knees
*college logo anything from our college....when I bought books, I saw a bunch
of cute shirts with our logos on them...I own 2 now (a black sweatshirt with
pink embroidered letters "St Ben's" on it and a red zip up hoodie with our logo
in black)
*short hair is popular, no makeup
What I don't see which I was thinking I'd see more of:
*unsual piercings or tat's
*gothic stuff
*slutty or overly tight clothes (well this is a Catholic school lol)
*high heels or high heeled boots
*those tweedy blazers with jeans
*dresses of any kind or skirts....virtually no one wears them here at school!
*tennis shoes (everyone has Uggs or very low–heeled type leather brown or black
boots)
*girls who wear more makeup
*no logo stuff like "Old Navy" or "Abercrombie"
*jewelry...no one wears it cept watches
What is going on at your campuses right now, college students?? Just thought I
would follow up to my post before.... :–) and just interested to know what
everyone at school's wearing!!

My college is really a MISH MASH of everything... although sometimes I
wonder if the girls here are headed out for a night of clubbing in stead of
going to classes.
Uggs (fake and real) are big. And a lot of jeans tucked INTO
mid–calf/knee–high boots (a look which I don't particularly like). Old
Navy/AEO/Abercrombie shows up every once in a while. Everyone wears a toque
(winter hat) inside.
We also have a huge Asian group of students (large International program at
my college) that really are quite creative in the fashion department.
So, there's really no one way of dressing here. There're piercings and
tattoos all over the place, goths, clubbers, preps, sporty types,
emo/vintage types, metal heads... everything. And barely anyone is into
wearing stuff with a college logo – unless they're from the student
government. It's interesting because my college is quite different from the
university in the city where everyone either dresses up WAY too much or has
a very methodical dressed down look. :)
