True Match Doesn't Seem To

"Miss Livvy" <Xeveryidiwantistak...@yahoo.com>
I am experimenting with True Match, and it seems bizarre but none of the
colors seem to really match me. My skin tone is medium–dark with olive
undertones. Both N and W have too much orange in them for me. The C isn't
right because it has too much pink. This is the typical problem I have with
drugstore foundations. I think N5 is the closest match (which the MA at the
LOreal store agreed with), but when I put it on at home and in daylight it
looks lighter and more orangy than my natural skin tone. I bought C7 and
mixed them together to try and neutralize the orange, but that is not quite
right either. This is bumming me out b.c. I adore the texture and staying
power of this foundation. I thought with all those colors, something should
look perfect. Any suggestions?
TIA

Maybelline and L'Oreal make yellow liquid concealers that you can use to warm
up foundations that are too pink. A little blue loose eyeshadow or pigment
should neutralize a foundation that's too orange.

I have the same exact problem! I seem to be somewhere in between W2 (which is
way too light and too pink) and W3 (which is too orange). It's unfortunate
because TM is the only drugstore foundation that's ever really worked for me in
terms of texture, coverage, and not being oily. If only it lived up to its
name, it would be my HG foundation.
