Good Tailor in Atlanta Area?

jshe...@aol.comxoxo (Heather and Joe)
Hi–
I've got my eye on some jeans, etc but will need to have them shortened as I
need a 30–31 in inseam and these are 33's (I've not yet bought them yet). Can
anyone in the Atlanta area rec a good tailor familiar with designer clothing
who will not destroy these should I purchase them?
Thanks!
Heather

Shortening jeans is specialised work if you want the hem to have the
distinctive look of jeans stitching. I haven't had to have an inseam
shortened, but I would call The Clothing Warehouse in Little Five
Points to see if they can recommend someone. As for other alterations,
I have had good experiences with European Alterations in the Peachtree
Battle shopping center.

I'm not in Atlanta, but I have had jeans shortened by my alterations
woman – she's just in a dry cleaner, but was recommended to me by a
friend. I've had her shorten designer jeans...any good tailor should
be able to reproduce the original hem 'look' by using the same color –
I wouldn't think it was that 'specialized'.
