Anyone watching Project Runway?

"Ugly Old Dame" <ElectricGy...@gmail.com>
Anyone watching Project Runway? What do you think of it? I actually
really like it! Anyone in particular that you would like to see win? I
was really hoping that Nora girl was going to get voted out in the last
show...grrrr....

YES! wow, I saw that! I was up late one night and saw 2 of the episodes.
here's a link:

Loved the army dress. did you see that one? let's see if I can remember...
the older lady was too concerned with her age and competing with everyone.
I thought it was sweet when she realized she was obsessing, and finally let
go. Nice prize, winning the Banana Republic dress!
I like the younger guy, Austin. I think he's very serious about his design
work. oh, I tell you who really surprised me! the angry guy who was
inspired by the Chrysler building! did you like that one? Jay. I thought
Robert had good design ideas, especially on the BR episode, and I think he
could've created an entire line, but was indecisive on the one to show on
the runway.
good show!

I am absolutely ADDICTED to it! Yes indeedie, I was dissapointed that Nora
didn't get the boot.
other musings:
How did Star(r?) make it to round 3? She should have been sent packing after
the grocery store test.
Jay's Chrysler Building dress blew everthing else away for the BR challenge,
but I suppose it would have been awfully expensive and difficult to reproduce.
Had it won, I probably would have camped outside of the flagship store to get a
copy.

Yes I can't believe I am watching it, but I can never remember when it's on
so I've only seen 2 and part of a 3rd episode.
I do like it a lot, but I really wish they would give the fashions they
create more camera time because that's the part of the show I wait for and
it's over in such a flash. I am not sure who I want to win.
My other take on it is that Heidi Klum is not a very capable host. It sounds
like she is just reading lines off the teleprompter. English not being her
native language could be part of the problem I guess.

I really like the show so far and I'm not sure who I want to win just
yet! I was really bummed when Vanessa got the boot instead of Nora the
Drama Queen although none of Vanessa's designs have really blown me
away. Haven't liked any of Nora's so far as well. Starr was by far
the WORST and she should thank her lucky stars that she even made it
past the FIRST show much less to the third before getting voted out.
I'm not a big fan of BR clothes so I don't frequent the store often,
but even I could tell that her clown dress would NEVER be something
they would ever carry. Austin has some cute ideas, but they are a
little over the top and not practical....although, isn't that how most
runway designs are? The Bo Peep thing though...uh.....:)
I think so far the person that has been the most consistent and will
probably walk away with it is the one who's name starts with a K? (I
know her last name is Saun). She was the one that made the military
dress and has done really impressive work so far!

Her name is Kara Saun...almost sounds like one name
(Karasaun) doesn't it? She is the best designer, consistent yes. Plus she isn't
a drama queen, she seems pretty stable and mature. I think Austin will be in
the last 3. He seems older than 23 to me, he some how reminds me of this girly,
frilly southern woman though. The lip gloss is tooooo much on him. And did you
see when the L'oreal team did his hair? Now, Jay
he is a drama queen. I can't stand his look. Does he hate his hair? Cause the
Rhoda look his has going with
his scarves and big glasses are too much. Plus I don't think he is too
comfortable with his own body. I don't t
think he will be in the last 3. I thought Kevin might have been so it surprised
me to see him go. Wendy will go next week maybe, I doubt she will be in the
last 3.
Beyond that I just don't know. It is a most interesting show.

I love this show! It is quite interesting to see the creative process––make a
garmet using items from a grocery store; and make a garment which represents
"envy," for example.
My fav is Kara, then Alexandra (too bad she's gone), Austin and Jay.
I hope this show returns for a second season.

I really hope Kara will be the winner. I think the final three will be
Kara, Austin and Jay. They are all so creative. Wendy's personality is
a total turn off. I don't like most of the reality shows, but this one
has me hooked because the challenges are so interesting.

I have watched PR about three times, but I'm getting to where I just can't
stand watching it because of that bleached blonde Victoria's Secret model,
Heidi Klum. She's really stuck up and acts like her _____t doesn't stink and
she is the same way in her interviews on Leno, Letterman, etc. She's just
obnoxious, really. The show's premise is rather innovative and fun, however.

I have liked Austin's stuff the best.

I am addicted to Project Runway. The different styles of the designers versus
the constraints of what is required is fascinating. My favorites so far are
Kara and Austin followed closely by Jay and Alexandra.

i've been watching it; it's kind of fun. i, too, was hoping nora would get
voted out because she was completely unprofessional. i was really surprised
when they eliminated the english girl (vanessa?) because she has done good
work. i think the final three may be kara, robert (if he steps it up; and he's
sooo cute!); and the weird heavy–set guy who used to be in porn. i don't
generally like his taste (too punk) but he did a really good job with the
holiday dress and adapts well to things he's not crazy about like party
dresses. wendy––don't care for her or her attitude. her work's okay, really
liked the holiday dress, though. austin is too emotional and seems to have a
limited range. who do you want to win?

I watch it too. I think I like Austin best. Who is your fave? I was
kinda hoping Nora would go too. I missed the show's premiere and have
been playing catch–up by watching repeats. It seems pretty good so far.

I've enjoyed it, though I don't know if they've had any new episodes
since the holidays. The last one I saw was the Banana Republic one.
I think my favorite so far is probably Austin. I could do without
Nora, and was definitely glad to see Star go. I didn't like any of
her work and she was so whiny!
I'm conflicted about Wendy. I started out wanting to see her do well
because she's a local designer here, out in Middleburg, VA. I've seen
a couple of her evening dresses in shops and they're quite
elegant/classic. I suppose on this show she needs to try hard to be
more trendy, given the competition. But seeing her on the show I find
her kind of hard to like as a person. (I saw an actual Banana
Republic ad featuring Wendy's dress in a new magazine this month ––
Glamour, maybe? )
I agree with whoever said that Heidi Klum isn't a very good host. I
think she's pretty awful, actually.
