Symphony on a snowy night

"shinypenny" <shinypenny0...@yahoo.com>
We just landed free tickets for the symphony tonight. It is yucky
outside... cold, snowy/sleety. Think I can get away with a nice dress
or skirt with a pair of uggs? :–)

Boston Symphony? You bet. Anything you wear on your feet is
fine––you'll probably see older women in cashmere twinsets and L. L.
Bean boots.
Enjoy!

Hmmm... I do have a pair of high white uggs that I could wear with a
winter white skirt. Or I could just opt for sensible, since the weather
is really dreary, and wear dress slacks/cashmere sweater/black uggs
with pants not tucked into the uggs. What do you think?

Wear whatever is comfortable and warm. (Would you really wear white
shearling boots on a slushy evening?)
Enjoy the concert!

Yeah, because these are the cheap Uggs knock–offs! I don't care if they
get ruined. Now, my real Uggs are a different story; however, the tan
ones still don't look dirty after a few year's slushy wear.
I am doubting the fake ones are water proofed. But I can't find my can
of water proof spray anywhere.... so I'll probably just go with the
pants idea and wear my real uggs, the black ones. It's really not a
night any sane person would wear a skirt or dress, I've decided, after
peeking my head out again.

I confess that I wear skirts most of the time these days. Of course, I'm
not making any claims to sanity either. I find that heavy tights, boots and
definitely a coat that goes at least to my knees keeps me very cozy. And I
love that the boots are visible instead of hiding under pants. The long
coat really makes the difference. I will never wear a cropped jacket in
winter again unless it's paired with snowpants for activities like
shoveling, skiing, etc. My butt *appears* to have plenty of natural
insulation, but keeping it covered is a lot more comfortable.
Never too old to learn,
