Nars products

"Cherie" <cedgewo...@copper.net>
I cant believe I waited so long to try Nars. I am in love with Dolce Vita
lipstick & Orgasm blush. I have added Masai as another lipstick I would like
to try as well as Sin blush.
Any other products or colors in the Nars line you like?

I had a NARS makeover in the summer and it led me to try colors I never
would have tried before. Their eyeshadows are great. I use Lulu
(plummy color powder) for a liner using a slant brush. I also love the
creme shadows, especially corfu (goldy brown) and starlight (silver).

Can you describe Masai?
I'm no help on the original question –– I have Dolce Vita and a palette, but
that's it for Nars.

I don't know if this question was already answered as AOL doesn't seem to be
showing all posts, but to my eye it's a sheer beige–pink color with sheen. I
wear it over Almay's lip pencil in mauve. The lip pencil (lined and filled in)
shows through the Masai so it deepens the color a bit.

That sounds great! Thanks, Linda.

Tried to post earlier, but google wouldn't have it:
Cream blushes – these are great. I'm probably darker than you, so I'd
recommend you try Penny Lane.
Powder e/s – some are very pigmented, some are sheer, so YMMV. I'm too
much of a Nars fanatic to pic out a few though All About Eve is a
classic duo that pretty much everyone can wear.
The glosses are great, I think. Since you like Orgasm blush, you may
want to know that Sephora is supposed to have the new Orgasm gloss
exclusively around mid–Jan. Also, Sweet Dreams gloss is a pinker
version of Orgasm if you want to go in that direction.
Multiples are great as they are huge so you'd never ever use them up.
Malibu is, I think, another classic color lots of people can wear.
As much as Nars has some really cool cream e/s colors, I can't really
recommend them unless you have dry lids. I have slightly oily lids and
Nars cream e/s just crease like heck on me.

I second the Multiple... mine arrived this morning and I'm already hooked, I
have the shade 'Maldives'.

The Nars Multiple (it's a stick you can use as blush, lipstick, and eye
color. Creamy, yet solid. Takes forever to finally use it all up) in St.
Barts.

I love Nars products and use a variety of the lipsticks, glosses,
blushes and eyeshadows. The first one I thought of in response to this
thread, though, was mascara: Black Orchid. The brush separates the
lashes and delivers the product evenly, and the mascara smells like
roses. I also recommend the Ashes to Ashes and Night Star
shadows...worn together, they create a beautfully subtle, smoky look
for the eyes.
