La Jolla recs?

blueberry6...@hotmail.com
Hello – I will be visiting a friend in La Jolla, CA the week of Jan.
17th, and am hoping to get some suggestions for good places for
shopping, drinks, lunch, etc. Any price range is okay, as my "shopping"
may be largely confined to window shopping :( Any suggestions for San
Diego would also be appreciated.
TIA!

Restaurants in LaJolla: Roppongi (Pacific Rim cuisine), La Dolce Vita
for Italian (if you go on Thursday or Friday evenings "Luigi" will
serenade you), Georges at the Cove (seafood with an excellent view of
the cove/water), and The Cottage (excellent for lunch or dinner), get
there early though as this is a popular place. There are cute shops
along this little alcove where LaDolceVita is located. Cute jewelry
store and another next to it that has a lot of nice handbags,
particularly Mary Frances handbags.

Well, back when my parents lived in that area, it was fun to look at
the smaller shops in the Pacific Beach area, I think the street was
Garnet Ave., and along the main part of La Jolla on and just off of
La Jolla Blvd toward the ocean.
Also, people–watching in La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach if
you're into that. :)

FUN! We were there years ago for a wedding and had so much fun shopping
around the town–the layout was nice. I'm sure some of the shops have since
changed so I won't give recommendations other than to have fun.
