Beware of Ebay for 7s. There are a lot of poorly made fakes and unless
you really know 7s, it's easy to get duped. If you do venture to buy a
pair on Ebay, look at all of the seller's feedback. Search out ALL of
the negatives and neutrals and make sure none of the comments can
relate to fraudulent merchandise. Don't bid on any jeans that don't
have a picture of the actual pair of jeans you are bidding on, not just
stock photos taken from websites selling 7 jeans. There are a lot of
ways to tell if they are fake. The easiest way to tell is that all 7
jeans have an etched tag that has the style and cut number actually
etched (cut) into the tag. There are several different types of fakes
but they have not been able to duplicate the etched tag. In addition
to Loehmans, you may be able to find some at Nordstroms Rack and TJ
Maxx.

This bites. I adore my red ones (they fit so perfectly!) and had been looking
at Ebay for them.
I may have to stick with Christabelle for them.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess people will make fake anything nowadays.
I have heard a lot of raves about 7s. Is it just that they are so
flattering? Whats the deal?
I promised myself that after I flatten my stomach (recently had 2nd baby) I
would reward myself with a pair designer jeans (Earls, Seven, Citizens) I
was planning on trying them all on at the stores & then purchasing them on
ebay. I guess know I will purchase them at the store so I will know how to
spot the fakes.

I personally wouldn't buy jeans off eBay. When I try on 7s at the store I
take all the pairs they have in my size into the dressing room because
they always fit a bit differently even if they are the same style.
Different styles vary in cut and where the pockets are placed, which can
mean the difference between your butt looking great and your butt looking
misshapen, flat, bulbous, or like the pockets are sliding off of it (I'll
never understand why some designers put pockets essentially on the backs
of your thighs... but I guess it looks good on SOMEONE, just not me).
I've had similar experiences with Citizens of Humanity and Blue Cult. The
only fairly consistent brand in this category that I've found is Miss
Sixty, but I can't recommend those unless you like your jeans REALLY
tight. That said, I have pairs of all these brands and like them all.
Yikes, I never realized how many stupidly expensive jeans I have.

I thought everyone knew eBay was a place where you need to look very
carefully!

Good point about eBay....it's always buyer beware. But I've bought 2
pairs on Ebay and had great luck.
If you've never bought Sevens before I would suggest buying the first
pair from a store because then you can try them on to find the size and
stye you like and the SAs can be helpful in the right store. Then buy
the next ones from eBay.
Have fun, Sevens are my fav jeans

It's really bad. Unfortunately, it drives the sellers who sell
authentic 7s off of Ebay because they can't afford to sell them as
cheap as the fakes. A pockets are the most common fakes on Ebay – 90%
of the popular Pink A pockets listed are fake. There are several ways
to catch them being fake. Beware of spelling mistakes on the care
instructions on the inside pocket. Look at the back pockets. The
pockets are on a slant. From the top of the interior corner to the
seam you can fit a dime and from the top of the outer corner to the
seam you can fit a quarter. The reason our behinds look so good in 7
jeans is because it's an optical illusion. Fakes either have pockets
that run straight across, parallel to the seam or do have the pockets
on a slant, but there is much more space than a dime and quarter could
fit in. Look at the 3 sandwiched tags on the inside waistband. Fakes
often have them in tag size order – small, medium, large. This is the
wrong order. The first small one will be the gold size tag. The
middle large one is the care tag. The last medium sized gold 7 for all
mankind sticker is what you want to look at. Flip it over, look VERY
carefully, do you see numbers etched in the tag? This is the style and
cut number on all authentic 7s. THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO TELL THEY
ARE AUTHENTIC. That's why do the tag etching. If the jeans come with
the white barcode sticker, it is always placed on the inside of the
waistband above the pocket, not the outside. Fakes will usually have
it on the outside of the waistband. Also, look at the zeros on the
sticker. Do they have lines thru them? Authentic 7s will ALWAYS have
lines thru the zeros, fakes won't.
