Are nylons/pantyhose completely out of fashion?

salonrew...@aol.com (Salon Rewind)
I have to attend a meeting in New York, for which I will be wearing a skirt
suit. It has been years since I have worn nylons, are women still wearing them
to the office? If so, are the sheerest, nudest shades the most fashionable?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I keep hearing this, but in my office (DC area) everyone wears them.
I wouldn't think of going bare–legged in the winter, myself.

This reminds me of a winter trip to London several years ago. It was
absolultey freezing, windy as hell, and snowing and sleeting at the same
time. I was all bundled up and dying of the cold, and I see these two women
in mini–skirts, bare legs, and no coats, standing on the street corner
smoking cigarettes and having a relaxed and casual conversation. It totally
amazed me.

Bring the pantyhose along. NY winters are brutally cold;
pantyhose––and a long coat––will keep your legs from freezing in place.
For a professional look, sheer nude shades are always best. They may
not be the most fashionable, but they are classic.

Pants may be warmer but the right tights will help you also against the
cold.
Saw many many women wearing opaque or cotton tights at 32 degrees
Fahrenheit or –5 degrees Celcius here. They look not like freezing at
me.
